Thread: Do European illegals cause the same problems as the Hispanic

I know there are illegal aliens from Europe that reside in America, mostly from the former Soviet Block countries. I very seldom hear about those aliens causing much of a ruckus from the news media. Is there a difference in behavior of illegals from Europe and Latin America.

The Russian mafia and Easter European Mafia are causing big problems in some parts of America as they are involved in the importation of sex slaves and illegal workers from those areas.

We do not have a big problem with illegal immigration from Western European nations.

GFC, very interesting question! The raucous voices demanding "rights" are always in Spanish-not Polish, or Russian. The Russian mafia is centered in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, and yes, this specific type of Russian is involved in a lot of fraud. Their specialty is Medicaid fraud and they do it on a large scale. They live in very nice apartments in very nice buildings, and according to the Russian newspaper Argumenty i Fakti, many of these apartments are subsidized by US taxpayers.

However, outside of these very unnattractive Brighton Beach types, most Russians, as well as Poles, Ukrainians, some of whom are here illegally, work hard, are usually highly-educated, mind their business, keep very clean houses, and live quiet lives causing no problems for their neighbors and for law enforcement. I live near Riverhead, NY and difference between the Polishtown neighborhood and the Hispanic neighborhood tells it all. The Polish/Russian houses are clean, usually with a small garden. The Latino-occupied houses are filthy, with trash all over the lawn and sidewalks, driveways crowded with beater cars (with NC and PA plates) and lots and lots of children. The Poles who came here mostly legally, were poor-as poor as the Hispanics were when they came, but they have good traditions, culture and education, and they're really a credit to the community.

My own family is English, German and Irish, so my opinions are based on observation, not nationalism. I know many Eastern Europeans and I do have a great respect for people who suffered for 70 years under Communist totalitarianism, and who came here, learned English, and built new lives. And, they did not ask for handouts! (They also make great food, in my opinion.) Compare the way these people have conducted themselves to the nasty rhetoric, threats and demands we've heard from the Hispanic community lately.

I do not support illegals no matter where they're from, but the Hispanics are here in numbers that are a thousand-fold greater than Europeans, and they've made themselves far more obnoxious on many levels-from throwing beer bottles and dirty diapers out their car windows to forming idiotic gangs to demanding the "right" to vote.

This is my area of expertice so I will add to previous comments. Many Eastern European illegals are here and I see them in South Florida. The majority work in restaraunts, delis, clean houses, handy men or as home healthcare workers. Yes they are clean people who keep to their own communities. They almost all learn to speak English and become Americanized. Many of them do not take advantage of the system as much as Hispanics and don't have anchor babies as many of them are older. The young ones often find an American to marry and become legal. Once legal they go to college or university while working.

As for the mafia, they are into medicare fraud and the sex industry. The ecstasy boom is over and most don't deal in the drug they used to dabble in. They own many strip clubs, escort services and produce adult pornography in South Florida. I have seen them in action as I speak several Eastern European languages. As for the sex industry, they don't kidnap women and bring them here as much as they used to. They force women into it here. As for the women who are brought here, many of them know and do so willingly as part of their own immigration scam. Here is how it works: the woman volunteers to come over knowing what she will be doing. She is well aware that the higher ups won't get touched but she will be caught. Once here and she gets caught, she gives ICE the sob story about how she can no longer show her face back home once deported and how her family will get killed by the mob and often the woman is allowed to remain in the U.S.
Eastern Europeans get caught for DUI and there are many domestic violence calls involving them. I have not heard of them in any fatal DUIs.

Unfortunately I have run into some here in South Florida and my experience is that they often have a very bad attitude too. I don't care where they're from, if they are here illegally they are harming the United States of America by blatantly disrespecting the laws of our country.

Get out of town, get out of state, get our of our country.

I'll say this for all of the other people here illegally, they have been smart enough to keep there heads down during this debate. At least for the most part.

That will all depend on the area of the country.

In the NY/NJ area, the Russian mob is violent......the most viscious we've ever seen. They're in enclaves that now encompass entire towns.
They are involved in WHATEVER MAKES MONEY and they're evolving.
They're sophisticated, English speakers for the most part.
They will carve up body parts and then go have a shot of Vodka with family as though they've just come out of church.

The Russian mob LOVEs America as America's laws allow them to get away with literal murder while getting rich. They believe that Americans are stupid and weak.

No matter which part of the world or which particular country they come from they all share the same thing in common.....they think America's laws are something they have a global right to break.

Not so fast, illegals!! This country still belongs to the American people and we intend to keep it that way.

The Russian criminals are indeed ruthless, and do commit unspeakable crimes. They, like many other groups, are quite willing to perpetrate the worst kind of exploitation against other Russians. But this is another subject: this is the subject of legal immigants causing problems. This is because of the unfortunate fact that it is the very worst elements in Russia who are able to come here legally-so they are not subject to deportation for bad acts. It is strongly rumored that $5,000 will buy a visa to the US in Moscow. There are members of certain religious groups in Russia who receive immigration visas routinely merely by claiming religious persecution in Russia. Many of these devout worshippers move into crime the moment they arrive here, because they were in crime before. Only when we clean up our Consulate in Moscow and do real investigations of Russian applicants will the Russian crime problem be reversed. When you call the American Consulate in Moscow, you will probably be speaking to a Russian citizen. Why do we employ Russian citizens in our Consulate? It's a clue as to how things work there.

The illegal Russians are the ones keeping their heads down here.

But, in my day-to-day life, those Russian criminals in Brighton Beach, Miami, NJ, CA, and wherever else they live are not right in our faces in huge numbers the way the Hispanics are, nor are they showing up , electric bill in hand, proudly enrolling their offspring in our already financially-strapped schools.
