Establishment GOP Senate Committee Tells Candidates to Copy Trump

Establishment GOP Senate Committee Tells Candidates to Copy Trump

The National Republican Senate Committee (NRSC) may have finally seen the light. Instead of bashing Trump, they are actually telling Senate candidates to fashion themselves in Trump’s image…..up to a point. But it is the first time that a RINO organization has opened up their eyes to a very real truth. Like him or hate him, Donald Trump has been great for the republican party. His candidacy destroyed Jeb Bush’s chances of being elected. More importantly is that Trump has hit upon the one issue that draws a large cross section of voters, illegal immigration.

The Washington Post got a hold of a memo written by NRSC executive director Ward Baker, and here are some of his comments:

“Trump has been gaining Democrat adherents and he’s solidifying GOP cohorts who feel they’ve been totally ignored by the Washington Ruling Class.” If the environment aligns properly, Trump could win. It’s not a bet most would place now, but it could happen.”

“We may not like it, but Trump has connected with voters on issues like trade with China and America’s broken borders”

Baker also explained how candidates can tap into the Trump voters:

In the memo on the “Trump phenomenon,” NRSC executive director Ward Baker said Republicans should embrace his tough talk about China and “grab onto the best elements of [his] anti-Washington populist agenda.” Above all, they should appeal to voters as genuine and beyond the influence of special interests.

“Trump has risen because voters see him as authentic, independent, direct, firm, —and believe he can’t be bought,” Baker writes. “These are the same character traits our candidates should be advancing in 2016. That’s Trump lesson #1.”

Baker did advise senate candidates to stay away from insulting women. Obviously, he has bought into the war on women myth liberals failed so miserably with in 2014. Hillary is playing up the war on women in her campaign, but that’s understandable as she has nothing else going for her.

personally, I can’t wait to see 15 or 20 senate candidates walking around with a Trump doo.

He should have run in prior elections as he taunted - we would not have this utter incompetence on legal and illegal immigration, international affairs, muslim terrorists in our face and awful debt. WHY DID YOU WAIT MR TRUMP? We needed you way back - but GOOD LUCK NOW!
