Thread: Fast Research needed: Press Quarantine on MN bus story?

I need the following help from you.

1. Have any of you seen the story about the illegal alien hitting the buss and killing the children on the TV news perhaps on Fox, CNN, or MSNBC?

2. Can some of you go and search the transcript archives of those networks to see if this story has been reported at all?

If not, I just did a Google news search and found this story has only been running in MN and SD for the most part.

When I found one listing of a national print media source, USA TODAY, I read the article and the information about the culprit being an illegal alien has been censored out!

Then a press quarantine is on the story and ALIPAC must take action.

I've been working a lot, but I commented on this the other day. The only announcement I saw was through AP and there was absolutely NO mention of this being an illegal alien.

They are not even doing their jobs in the media anymore.

I attended journalism school in the mid '80s. It's unbelievable how far this profession has strayed from its roots of fair reporting on facts.

I would have no respect for myself as a journalist today.

This is where i learned of it . Michelle does call her "Illegal". But she makes no mention of msm knowledge .

I just went to Reuters and attempted to search for something, apparently it was not "Newsworthy".
I tried typing every possible Minnesota bus accident...Nothing came up.
Maybe I should try typing Foreign Guest Accident (Geraldos' term)...

This was on our local News 10. Only a brief article with no mention of driver being illegal.

Another article says she was convicted once before for not having a driver's license. There was nothing in the article to suggest that she was illegal.

W: I too, have been looking into this one is quite a bit of detail.

So far, with maybe the Fox (national) story being the lone exception, your assumptions are holding up. In fact, even the local StarTribune failed to issue follow up stories about it (I couldn't find any new ones posted as of last night) .. AND, I noticed when I went back to what's-his-name Coleman from that paper (StarTribune) page, there was a little text graphic showing some disclaimer to the effect that "our user feedback functionality is temporarily not available due to maintenance" or similar thing. Seems like he's gotten a little feedback for his apologist pandering crap. I still haven't got a reply from that dufus either... BTW.

So far, the one local paper (Marshall Independent) - although a small local outfit has had some of the most consistent albeit humble reporting on the subject.

A 'CNN News' search on "Alianiss Nunez Morales" turns up nothing, while a search on this site with the words 'Minnesota' and 'bus' turns up only one relevant article dated 2/20 from the AP (with no mention of the perpetrator) and one short unnarrated video (aerial of the scene):

Through the MSN site (video search), found this short video where there is no mention of illegal status (just 'no drivers license'). This is the Lynn County Attorney listing the charges:

I don't watch television, so I can't comment on the actual tv coverage.

Van Driver ID'd in Fatal Minn. Bus Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Immigration agents say they've learned the true identity of a van driver charged in a Minnesota bus crash that killed four children.

Twenty-four-year-old Olga Marina Franco of Guatemala is accused of running a stop sign and hitting the school bus. Investigators say she gave them a fake name after last week's crash and told them she was from Mexico.

Franco is charged with four counts of criminal vehicular homicide and lesser crimes. Authorities say she claims she stopped at the sign and the bus hit her.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers say they believe Franco is an illegal immigrant.

A joint funeral for 13-year-old Jesse Javens and his 9-year-old brother Hunter was held Monday at their southwestern Minnesota school.
