I would also like to be able to post (my ever so thoughtful) opinions or action/alerts. Please. I have felt that my numerous emails to Congressional Committee Chairmen were having an effect. And a few years ago they helped by supplying some valuable contact information. What they are supposed to be doing is gathering the communications and presenting these to the Chairs of the Committee.

Just so you folks know, the last few years I have been almost literally battling it out regarding billions of dollars that our region has wanted to spend on expensive transportation projects. Which in reality simply amount to payback to liberal campaign donors. If we don't act they will firmly cement their Political Machine here. But from both left and right you endure all sorts of shenanigans which anyone with any self respect would be embarassed to do. But people here are volatile and snarky and opinionated and sneaky. Especially with controversial political questions. It really DOES drive you to the boiling point. And we even had a high level Congressional delegation come out to observe and listen in on this huge MESS!

And then in our state anti illegal immigration groups, they have hit on some successful strategy---but are impenetrable when it comes to adopting any new ideas. SO I have continual fear that even after our best efforts we are going to lose out. Sheesh!!!!
