The evil that men do lives on
My husband and I have just reached the SS and Medicare age and have more life behind than in front of us.
We were talking about the fact that our oldest grandson will be 10 in September - it doesn't seem possible.
My husband said that is the way of things - the old move on and the young move up and it is really just a fleeting moment.
Then he said that is what makes him wonder why people do evil things like the President and the congress are doing. Life is short, why would you use it doing harm to others when any power or money you get from it won't matter in the great equalizer - death and the grave.
I wish I had an answer. I can sorta understand people who are demented or wired a little wrong who are evil and destructive.
I can even understand people born into hellholes and who have lived their entire lives in cruelty and when they become heads of state or rulers, they continue to act that way.
I don't understand such a large amount of seemingly 'normal' people exhibiting the same aberration as we see in Washington today.
Almost all of these people have enjoyed the wonders and freedoms of this country. Most of them have probably been pretty well off all their lives, but surely some of them have worked for a living or their parents worked for a living. They know what is like. They know real people. Why would they turn their backs on them and on their country.
Some of them may think it is worth it for the moment of glory - but they can't all feel that way. There simply must be some real human beings up there.
Why would they leave such a burden and such a legacy evil ------Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

The Tex Mex Vote
They want the Mexican vote; if the immigration reform/ blanket amnesty bill passes illegals will soon be citizens and bring their entire families with them and being that having tons of children is part of their culture they will be in the majority in no time flat then the politicans think they can get their votes and easily lead them like sheep because most of them are not very educated nor politically informed.

I don't think it can be that simple.
They can't and won't all get the Mexican vote. They know that. That's an impossibility
They could stay in power by sending the MExicans home and once again giving tokens to this American group or that. They have been doing that sort of thing since this country began.
Why are they willing to destroy an entire nation and its people and a wonderful ideal - just for that.
They all, with very few exceptions, are doing the same thing - against great odds, or great opposition from the people.
Their greatest reward, that we can see, is a few more years in congress. For many, that won't even be a reality. If Americans vote them out this time, and the Mexicans vote them out when they get in the vote - next election - what have they gained???
I could understand voting in a little pork here or there - even a favorable trade deal for a little money. All those things can be reversed with time, or another congressperson.
They know what they are doing now cannot be reversed. It puts the final nail in the coffin of the ideal of a free, sovereign, and self-governing nation.
What is the inducement to leave that kind of chaos behind you? That kind of evil. For many of them, the seeming reward will be loss of seat - replacement by a Mexican in time and for all of us and them a total loss of the future of our children and grandchildren.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

It has to be Dollars/Votes and both. They have a tremendous economy from not enforcing Banking Laws, Immigration Laws, Identity Theft Laws, Hiring of ILLEGALS etc. Unions could care less about America, they just see ten million new dues paying Union Members. Many businesses could care less about America either, they just see cheap labor. They it is to be more competetive but I think they could be more competetive if they cut profits. It is the difference between an investment yielding 18-25% returns or 10-15%. It is always money. When you sell your soul it is in exchange for something.
I have to believe today business and special interest run this country even though they don't vote. You and I don't matter. They can always lead the sheep.
I think the coolest protest election on the face of the earth would be one where we each wrote in our own name as a candidate in every slot available. I would love to see that on the news.
I have your back but I think we are outnumbered.

I hate the idea of all of us having to live in a socialistic world because some jerks want to play God. They want to equalize things, it's not right for us to be so comfortable when these poor people in mexico have nothing. So in order for them to come up we have to be taken down.

...it's the religious Conservatives in the GOP. Most of these (Mexcian) illegal aliens are staunchly religious. The GOP needs to build its base to push through its agenda and they know these folks will vote Republican because of the religious influence. The Catholic Church is supporting illegal immigration as well for the same reason as well as to help put butts in the pews of their dwindling parishes (is that the word?) and more tithings in the baskets handed 'round at every service. I kid you not. I even have a nod from more than a few pastors/priests/rectors here on these issues.

Money as far as the corporations are concerned - I see that.
But money as far as the lawmakers are concerned - I don't see that. They know if the Mexicans get here and get the vote - which they will - that their days are numbered. Perhaps even the days of either party are numbered - and they do know that the US as a free and somewhat stable country is numbered.
Once this is a done deal, they have lost their bargaining chip. They have no future - more so than the rest of us. Some of us can survive in our professions - some can survive being poor. Those critters will have lost their professions - and I don't think they want to live poorly.
The day of politicians in America being mostly white and some blacks, is coming to and end. In ten years, tops.
So the political parties are cutting their throats - or at least the present bunch of politicians are. They will be no hope for the ones lower down the ladder hoping to make it to the top unless they are Mexicans.
I can see their taking money for a little pork here and there - but a wholesale selling out of this country - just doesn't compute.
They won't all vote Republican - but, if you think they will, why then would the Democrats want them here so badly if they are all going to be religious Republicans. If that were the case, the Democrats would be wanting to keep them out.
I agree the Catholic Church probably wants them here for membership and tithing.
That doesn't answer why politicians are doing what they are doing.
These people are literally destroying this country - not just one area, one industry, one segment. They are destroying the entire concept of America with this vote.
It is just mindboggling to me that all of them, mostly all of them, would be willing to do it. It certainly isn't that they don't know better - they may not be really smart bunch of people. One thing I do think they have is a highly evolved sense of self preservation.
They are selling their homes, businesses, families, etc., as well.
Unless, they are getting such a good 'buyout', they can move to that nice island commune with a private army and the ability to be self-sufficient.
But would all of them do that? I just can't believe there are not more up there that won'tJoin our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
