Yes, I had Facebook's number more than a decade ago. Some other nice company needs to form and compete with them. The only Facebook I've read was Trump's and never signed on. The only Twitter I read is Trump's and likewise, never signed on. I like the real news on TV, the real news in newspapers articles, and other types of sources. I get a kick out of some of the Facebook things that are posted on websites and shown on the news, most Americans are funny and cute, and post adorable pics and videos of their animals and children which I enjoy very much. I like the patriotic artworks that are posted, but this can be done by any website. What Facebook does, really, anyone can do.

This could get interesting..I wonder how many drug and human traffickers are coordinating on Facebook on a daily basis ...ANTIFA pages promoting violence are still active on Facebook. Just defies logic.

The lawsuit says Facebook did not do enough to verify the user's identity

A Texas woman, claiming that she was raped, beaten and sex trafficked at the age of 15 by a pimp who posed as a Facebook "friend," has filed suit against the social network, alleging its executives knew minors were being lured into the sex trade on their platform.
The woman, identified only as Jane Doe in court papers filed in Harris County District Court in Houston on Monday, also named as defendants the now-shuttered classified ads website Backpage.com and its founders.

Facebook did not respond to a request by Reuters for comment.

Attorneys for Backpage.com and the former employees named in the lawsuit as defendants also did not return calls for comment.

According to the lawsuit, the woman was "friended" on Facebook in 2012 by a user who appeared to know several of her real-life friends. The man messaged her through Facebook, according to the lawsuit, which was seen by Reuters.

The lawsuit alleges that at one point following an argument with her mother, the trafficker offered to console her, but after picking her up from her home he beat and raped her and took pictures that were posted on Backpage.com.

The lawsuit says Facebook did not do enough to verify the user's identity, which the lawsuit said was false, and that Jane Doe was never warned that sex traffickers were operating on the social media network.

The plaintiff's attorneys, David Harris and Louie Cook of the law firm Sico Hoelscher Harris LLP in Houston, did not reply to requests for comment.

Backpage.com was shut down by authorities earlier this year after a Justice Department investigation into allegations that the website was used primarily to sell sex.

Facebook Cleans House – Purges Several Top Conservative Pages FOUR WEEKS BEFORE ELECTION

On Thursday Facbeook announced the company took action on 559 Pages and 251 accounts that violated their “spam” and coordinated “inauthentic behavior” policies.

Facebook said most of those affected were political pages.

This year, we’ve enforced this policy against many Pages, Groups and accounts created to stir up political debate, including in the US, the Middle East, Russia and the UK. But the bulk of the inauthentic activity we see on Facebook is spam that’s typically motivated by money, not politics. And the people behind it are adapting their behavior as our enforcement improves.

Facebook says the enforcement was based on violations of Facebook’s existing spam and coordinated inauthentic behavior policies, the type of content posted by all accounts impacted was not a factor.

And now, several hours later, we are hearing that most of the purged political pages were on the right.

Facebook purged several conservative sites just four weeks before the election and without warning.

Facebook took down Right Wing News – a conservative page with over 3 million followers.

Brian Kolfage at Right Wing News reported:

I have been managing the Right Wing News Facebook page, and have been involved with the brand for many years.
And just today, Facebook took down our Facebook page, cutting off all contact we had with the millions of people who signed up to follow us, the millions of people who liked what we were sharing online.
I took over managing the page when John Hawkins decided to step aside to pursue other endeavors. John and I have a great relationship and I was honored to have the torch passed down to me. We had a coveted, verified blue check mark 3.5 Million fans, and I invested over $300,000 in ads at Facebook’s own request, nearly begging us to spend spend spend just to reach our fans … whom they kept making more difficult to reach with every passing year.

Jared Vallorani founder and CEO of Klicked Media who provides hosting and web support to several conservative websites told The Gateway Pundit that several of his clients had their Facebook pages removed on Thursday. Many of the pages had hundreds of thousands of followers. Jared refers to yesterday as “Black Thursday.”

No one from Facebook has reached out to any of these Facebook page owners to discuss their concerns, their behavior or to tell them about their demise.

Giles wrote this at Clash Daily after his pages — with nearly 3 million likes — were taken down yesterday.

ClashDaily.com‘s pages are administered by a fake account? That’s a joke. Our admin peeps have to double verify to login. Facebook has our driver’s licenses. In addition, my ClashDaily.com Facebook page was ‘blue checked’ approved by Facebook as being from me and not some zit-faced, content-farming, teen from Macedonia.

The Gateway Pundit knows of several other conservative publishers who had their pages taken down yesterday.

So far Facebook continues to get away with this unfair and discriminatory practice.

Something needs to be done to stop this unfair practices.
