Ratbastard and Captainron, when it comes to illegals, unions are no better than employers. That's why it's so important to press for continuing E-Verify and extending it to state contractors.

We "CANNOT" settle for a 10 year etension on E-Verify. It must be required everywhere, currently Unemployment Office (ESC) send undocumented illegals to our jobs without E-Verifying. Actually, the North Carolina State Unemployment Offices are only required by Federal Law to E-Verify MIGRATE FARM WORKERS.

And all immigrants are to be counted in our Census

    vmonkey, I completely agree.

'Bama and the 'Crats and Open Borders Republicans are allied against us. We'll have to work continuously, to protect the quality of American life and the jobs of American workers.

I am sure my reps and senators are real sick of hearing from me, but emailed them again today:
I am horrified to learn that the extension of E-Verify has been quashed by Sen. Reid. As a former business owner, I wish I could have had such a tool.
I once hired a nice, clean-cut young man who gave me a social security number that turned out to be not his, and the name he went by was also not his. This was in the late 1980s, and I only found out after he was arrested for distributing drugs and had outstanding warrants. My restaurant was thrown into turmoil for a few days and my lunchtime crowd was suddenly missing a few well-dressed regular businessmen, who I suspect may have been DEA agents.
Without E-Verify I was not able to check the name against the number, so this is of utmost importance to any responsible business owner.

In the context of E-Verify, knowing who can be held responsible for verifying citizenship is a distinct advantage for American workers.
United States Chamber of Commerce --- HELL YES I OPPOSE this group. because of them the buy american provision in the stimulus recovery bill was removed
and they want and support immigration reform
