Thread: Illegals and Government Benefits

I work for a welfare office in a border state. Let me tell you the facts. When we determine eligibilities, we must input the citizenship status of the person applying for benefits. We must code illegals as just that, illegals. This information could be easily gathered by Immigration and Naturalization from our system, but apparently it is not. The children of illegals born in this country are entitled to TANF (Cash Assistance), Food Stamps and Mediciad benefits, regardless of the citizenship status of their parents. Most Middle Class Americans can't get Medicaid benefits for their own children - yet illegals can! Here's another thing. The US Government limits Cash Assistance benefits to 60 months, or five years. However, illegals (who are not case members since they are illegal) can get cash benefits indefinitely! What is wrong with this picture?

George Bush's guest worker program is a big sham. Doesn't he realize how many babies these "guest workers" can produce in six years? And their parents will be the first in line for government food stamps, cash assistance and Medicaid benefits. You, the American Middle Class will end up paying out of your pocket to support the children of these "guest workers."

The Middle Class needs to rise up and say, "we've had enough, and we aren't going to take it anymore."

1 Child a year and when the children who have anchor baby citizenship start having kids (once they hit their teens usually, around 13-16) they will be having kids at the same rate. But then again George was a C student

They can have several kids by the time they are 19 and no longer eligible for free medical care. Guess who pays for their pre-natal and delivery care?

I agree with you. I think alot of people felt that this horrendous amnesty program wouldnt go through. Its cucial that we do something NOW.
We could end up having riots like they do in Paris, fighting for jobs!

Welcome, Crusader! I get tired of people telling me that "illegals can't get welfare, you need proof of residence to get it"! I know better, I know illegals who do get welfare and I am so glad you are here to prove it! From what I understand, an American citizen has to provide proof of residence and has to submit all kinds of documents from phone bills, rent reciepts, power bills, to check stubs of every personwho lives in the home. I understand that none of that is required when it comes to illegals, am I correct? If that is correct, it means that there could be as many as 10 or 15 illegal individuals living in the same househols, ALL of them recieving welfare benefits! No wonder they can afford to buy brand new SUV's while I drive a 9 yr old car
