VA: A Day in Traffic Court

My husband was in Fairfax County traffic court today. He told me there were 3 or 4 hispanics, who couldn't speak english and needed an interpreter. He said in each case, the defendant had been ticketed for driving w/o a license.

The judge asked if they had gotten a license since they were ticketed. All three answered no. The judge asked do you have the papers to get one? All three said no. The Judge promptly gave each a $100 fine and $300 driver abuser fee (payable in installments). And then let them go. He didn't tell them not drive again. He just cut them loose.

My husband said it was quite obvious that these people were illegal aliens, but no one did anything. There were sheriffs deputies, cops, prosecutors and these guys just walked out. It's quite disturbing how these cases are being handled in Fairfax County (thanks to newly re-elected Gerry Connelly).

There were 3 of these cases in just one morning, in just one court room. How many more are out there? I guess the illegals don't care about driving illegally or even being in the country illegally because they know that all they're going to get is a slap on the wrist.

I am very angry. Mr. Connolly does not care about the people in this county. Parts of it are very wealthy (a lot of polititions live here because it's close to DC). Alot of us believe the rich do not want to give up their illegal nannies, landscapers, etc. So, the rest of us get to support and drive with illegal aliens. It makes me sick.

Sounds like you need to write an editorial to the wasingtonpost and local newspapers about this. Highlight the fact that these people are bad drivers (they wre pulled over for some reason obviously) and now they are back on the streets. Plus we are paying for interpreters for illegal immigrants, when we should be paying to deport their lawbreaking, sorry asses.

Perhaps a call to DHS might help.

During the decade I lived in Colorado, I had to show up to court for a handful of tickets and it never ceased to amaze me how many illegals would be there. The first thing the courts would do is segregate citizens from illegals. The illegals would sit in the jury box and their cases would be heard before anyone else because court interpretors are usually in short supply. Every single time I went to court, I had to sit through hours of no insurance and DUI cases before my name would be called. I wasn't the only American citizen in those courtrooms who thought that was outrageous.

While in college, I worked alongside literally hundreds of illegals and the #1 reason why they didn't show up for work on Monday was because they were still in jail for drinking and driving. After I graduated from college and got a middle management job in the resort industry, part of the daily routine on Monday morning was reading the local newspaper to find out how many of our employees were arrested during the weekend.

The examples above are just a few of the hidden taxes on American citizens that goes part and parcel with the illegal invasion. Wherever illegal aliens abound, you'll find schools, hospitals, municipal courts, county jails, police departments, etc... that are desperate for money and on the verge of collapse. I was too young to realize it back then, but now I know that I was paying for all that B.S. and giving it my tacit approval by not speaking up. Gone are those days.

Very interesting information Secure. No wonder Tancredo is so adamant about his position.
