NFL Latino commercial
OK, so what does everyone think of the NFL Latino commercial? I saw it for the first time 5 minutes ago during NFL game. The whole commercial was in Spanish with English subtitles....what the hell???? It advertised NFLatino.com. I guess so either illegal aliens who refuse to speak/learn English or legal citizens who want to learn Spanish have an NFL website. I'm just buggin' over it still.

Just ruined my Bears/Lions game when I saw it. They already have a Latino football channel and frankly it ticks me off!!! I don't appreciate having to read English sub-titles in my own country!!!!!!

NFLatino features diaries, fantasy football
(July 26, 2006) -- The NFL has launched a newly designed Spanish language website -- NFLatino.com -- that will give America's growing Hispanic population their own home for NFL content.
The site features real-time NFL and team news, schedules, scores, standings, expert analysis, Hispanic player diaries and interactive polls. The site also contains areas geared towards beginners wishing to learn more about football, including a rules section with explanations of NFL game rules and a glossary of terms.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Tony Gonzalez, Chicago Bears center Roberto Garza, San Diego Chargers defensive tackle Luis Castillo and linebacker Donnie Edwards will provide readers with an inside look at the life of an NFL player through their monthly diaries during the season.
Spanish-speaking fans can now play fantasy football in their preferred language. NFLatino.com Fantasy '06 gives fans the opportunity to control their own team of professional football players in Spanish and is available for free beginning Aug. 1 on NFLatino.com. Each participant drafts a team of the best players across the NFL and receives points based on those players' performance in NFL games each week of the season.
NFLatino.com Fantasy '06 will offer prizes to the team that accumulates the most points each week, including gift cards to NFL Shop. The grand prize for the overall winner will be a trip for two to Super Bowl XLI in South Florida on Feb. 4, 2007.
The site is run in partnership with NFL Mexico, which maintains its own website geared toward fans in Mexico.

What a waste! They are soccer fans! Illegals can't afford stadium tickets. What is wrong with these companies pandering to illegal aliens? They have a new commissioner, wonder if he is a La Raza contributor.

Dixie is correct, they are soccer fans. I had seasons tickets for the Miami Dolphins and it was great. There was virtually no Spanish speaking at the games. All the tailgaters in the area I was in spoke English and the Hispanics that went to the games that I knew of were Americanized like the rest of us. In a predominantly Hispanic city, it just shows that they don't care for the sport.
Even the baseball team which has mostly Hispanic players can't sell many season or game day tickets. Most tickets are actually bought by non Hispanics and tourists who want to see their home team play the Marlins as it is easier to get tickets. Yet when the Marlins won the World Series all news reports were from Little Havana where the people watched the at home games on TV.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I agree with you that it is causing a divide and that is wrong. What next? The NFL in Kreyol? How about the 2 main Chinese Languages while we are at it.

i posted the NFL's contact information a while back, when I talked to them they said that so far I was the only one complaining... find their phone number in N.Y. call and complain. Also call CBS and FOX and complain. I have and will everyweek. I gave them till next week to stop airing it or I won't watch my games next week.
I dont mind them advertising in spanish as much as they are doing it on dominant english language t.v. What is the point? well aparantly any hispanics who watch football know english, I mean you don't see John Madden Speaking spanish do you?

All of them are forcing this on us whether we like it or not! Spanish commercials, spanish instructions on products. Pushing their agenda! Making a buck! If it keeps up we have decided that we will cancel our cable. If this gets to be a regular thing...becoming more spanish than english...let them get the illegals to keep them in business. Tlhe language of this country is English. So...they are pandering to illegals!
I'm getting sick and tired of all the pandering! I won't like living without the TV....but I will if it comes to that! Please help save America for our children and grandchildren... they are counting on us.
