Petition to get Miguel Rodriguez fired from Live Oak High

    Received this in a e-mail......

Sign this petition to support our freedom in America

In recent news 5 highschool students were sent home by the assistant principal at Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill CA for wearing the American flag tee shirts on Cinco De Mayo, due to the fact that some of the Hispanic students had complained that students were wearing the American flag shirts on Cinco De Mayo.

The district did not stand behind this decision and neither can we. Our freedom is being swept out from under us.
What kind of message does this send to our troops that are fighting for our country? What kind of message does this send to all Americans? We cannot afford to ignore this issue.

It should be pointed out and this incident used to educate the American People about Cinco de Mayo. Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of the defeat of the French Army by the Mexican Army in the Battle of Pueblo which caused the French to leave Mexico.

Why were the French in Mexico to begin with? Well, Mexico had borrowed lots of money from different countries and stopped making their interest payments. One of the countries Mexico had borrowed a lot of money from was France, who needed their interest money, and so after negotiations and so forth failed, the French invaded Mexico to force them to resume making their interest payments.

The premise of this celebration is default on your debts, cheat the people who helped you and when they send Armies to collect, kill them. This is not the American Way and should not be celebrated in the United States, and certainly not promoted in our schools.

This event is not even celebrated in Mexico except for the state of Pueblo where the actual Battle of Pueblo took place.

Furthermore, the United States might not even be a nation without the aid of the French, so this is not a celebration that should be recognized or cheered or honored or promoted by Americans.

I just signed it! It's time these irresponsible, racists school administrators are put in the unemployment line and out of our schools once and for all.
