Federal Hate Crimes/Hate Speech Bill - coming to silence us

Does anyone know of anyone doing effective activism to defeat the Federal Hate Crimes Bill?

The bill is in the House Judiciary Committee, getting ready to be pushed through Congress, Obama says he will sign similar bills that Pres. Bush vetoed.

I see that the advocates of open borders immigration, globalism have decided not to push for mass amnesty as an open policy, instead they want to consolidate power, work to find ways to intimidate, silence opposition to their program.

The Fed Hate crime bill is the same as the laws in the EU/Canada that make it a Federal crime to say anything negative about a PC, protected group and that includes Muslim immigrants of all kinds, illegal aliens (soon to be term that is officially banned), homosexual extremists etc.

Some Canadians who printed some of the Danish cartoons that poked fun at violent Islamic extremists were prosecuted under Canada's anit hate speech laws and the cost of defense meant that the publisher had to shut down his paper.

So, does anyone know of anyone in the US that is fighting this direct attack on our 1st Amendment rights?

So far I only see a fee rather fringe "Christian" leaders going out on a limb to fight this and some of these folks name the ADL as a chief sponsor so many mainstream COnservatives are avoiding this issue...

(Same as the avoid doing anything about mass illegal immigration, terrorists attacks in the US, the West etc )

Anybody know of some people resisting this?

    States Rights fight growing.

I think that several states have presented legislation to the Federal government concerning states rights violations of the 4th, 9,10 amendments. Perhaps more states will file suit for a violation of 1st amendment rights as well. I read that Oklahoma proclaimed souverienty.

So are we going to start a phone line conversation? Or meet weekly, monthly, winter retreat, spring retreat, summer retreat, fall retreat....

Phone conversations are already being listened to, and to have meetings, who knows if a mass of cars at one location won't raise suspicion. I think we all have to start trading cookie recipes through the USPS, with the actual messages written in invisible ink. I heard lemon juice works. Okay, read too many spy books in my youth.

Yes, I did note that almost all ACLU chapters signed on to support this Fed Hate Crimes Law criminalizing speech, thought crime.

I am old enough to remember some times about 20 years ago where some local chapter of the ACLU stood for free speech of some regular American who wasn't a terrorists, hard core pornographer, Federally subsidized artist putting Christ in urine.

No, don't the the ACLU will help here, but how about just anyone? Wealthy Conservative groups? Anybody?

This is flat out Stalinist assault on the 1st Amendment.
