Feedback in the ALIPAC email box!

Sender's Name: Ken (Removed for privacy reasons)

Sender's Email: Removed for privacy reasons

Message: Your message \"Stop The Invasion\" is most likely what the Native Americans
uttered as we drove (and slaughtered) them from THEIR real estate we now call the
United States. We are a country of immigrants.

    William Gheen's respons:

    Ken,

You are right about the Native Americans! My God I hope we don't end up slaughtered and removed from our land like they were. Good point. I think I will use it on the air.

Stop the invasion now or we could all end up like the Native Americans that wanted to "stop the invasion"

I'm glad you see the light and I hope we can count on you to help defend America and preserve the many things that people value about this nation.

We are a nation of legal immigrants and so many legal immigrants are supporting us. It is so unfair to them that 3/4 of our total immigration now is by illegal aliens that do not respect our nation, laws, or citizens.

    Thanks for the input.

Ken should at a minimum realize that the immigration that he so strongly advocates and excuses is what enabled and to a degree necessitated the taking of much of the Indian lands that he supposedly abhors -- or at least says he does. When a large mass of external people invade/migrate to /conquer/settle/immigrate to another region something always has to give to make room. In that first great wave of immigration what gave was the western Indian Nations, the buffalo, and the open prairies. Ken perhaps should ponder a bit on what is going to give in the second great wave of immigration -- he may not like the answers. It might and probably will include eradication of species as their habitats are destroyed, depletion of our natural resources to support an ever growing population, loss of farm land and water for irrigation that provides our food, and an overall and perhaps substantial lowering of Ken's quality of life and even safety (considering that he excuses criminals deciding our immigration policy for themselves).

Considering the Native American situation for a moment, there were Indian Chiefs, such as Sitting Bull, who warned that if the Indians were to maintain their culture and hold onto their lands then the invasion must be resisted. But, there were other Indians (the equivalent of our Ken) who said that the white men give us things and do things for us (cheap labor advocates) and we must accommodate them (liberal no border advocates). Turns out that Sitting Bull had a point, to say the least. Most, if not all, of the truly Native American Americans that I've encountered don't want the current invasion as they realize that they lost their first nations, and they don't want to lose the second. Maybe Ken should get permission before he starts speaking for someone else? Incidentally, if the United States hadn't acquired the Indian lands, the Chinese or Russians likely would have and the various Indian Nations weren't exactly at peace with one another with various tribes aiding the United States in the defeating of other tribes. So, if you have a modicum of understanding of history, then Ken's little guilt trip doesn't go very far. And, no, we didn't steal the land from the Mexican Native Americans either because they weren't here due to the fact American Native Americans always drove them back to where they came from. And, no we didn't steal it from the European Mexicans either because the Pope that granted them the land didn't own it at the time he gave it to Spain.

Apparently, the old "Nation of Immigrants" thing must be derived from the first great wave of immigration -- if there is any rationality to it at all. Prior to the founding of the country those coming here from Europe were settlers and colonists; they weren't immigrants because one can't immigrate to a country that doesn't exist. After that first great wave, immigration was severely restricted until the 1970s. So, we really don't have a tradition of open immigration at all. Assuming that Ken means migration in that our ancestors came from someplace else, then so did the original ancestors of the populations of every country on earth and thus all nations would be "A nation of immigrants" and the phrase remains pointless. Regardless of that, immigration is a matter of national policy (not a national religion with the Statue of Liberty being a shrine that we kiss every day) that must be determined on current conditions and future projections -- not the conditions of 125 years ago or silly pointless platitudes. Following Ken's rationality we would wipe out Microsoft and put everybody back on the farm because we were indeed once a "Nation of farmers" -- more so than immigrants anyway.

What I find most disturbing is that folks like Ken, and there are many of them, do not even bother to consider possible ramifications or look at cause-effect relationships associated with what they advocate or have a reasonable interchange of information and ideas. It is as though they have been indoctrinated into some religious cult. All they have are the simple banalities that they interchange just as in a cult: "Peace will be with you brother" or "We are a nation of immigrants". And just as in a cult anyone who dares to think and question must be punished so that they dare not ever stray from the cult: "Our master holy leader and giver of all that is good will be displeased with your wicked ways and you will go to isolation" or "You inbred trailer trash redneck racist Nazi unfit to walk among us real people". Okay, Ken didn't go that far, but I see the potential there and many others do go that far.

I refuse to drink the immigration cult's Kool-Aid.
