    https://www.federalreserve.gov/confe...arge-banks.htm

    Summary:
    July 22, 2025

The Federal Reserve will host a conference to provide expert perspectives on the key pillars of the regulatory capital framework–including Basel III Endgame, stress testing, the capital surcharge for the largest banks, and leverage requirements. The conference will explore those interactions, consider approaches for implementation, and the implications they may have for the efficiency and overall functioning of the financial system. The Federal Reserve welcomes the opportunity to consider a broader range of perspectives when considering the future of capital framework reforms. The conference will be broadcast live at federalreserve.gov and YouTube.

This event has a limited seating capacity for in-person attendance. Media who wish to register in-person should contact Public Affairs at media@frb.gov. Non-media who wish to register for in-person attendance should contact CapitalConference2025@frb.gov.

Major Financial announcement 7/22 Will Give a Roadmap for the New Economy

    From David DuByne, Adapt 2030:

Major Financial announcement 7/22 Will Give a Roadmap for the New Economy

Every market across every country will be watching every word. The Regulatory Capital Framework Conference begins at 8:30 am and will redefine what banking is and how stable coins and blockchain technology will be incorporated through the worlds banks. Combine this meeting with the Bank for International Settlements blueprint for banks issuing smart contracts and here comes the new world.

The change is happening at blinding speed, which makes me want to examine crop tour numbers again. When food prices spike again, the masses will become angry.

Chief Financial Officers' Perspectives on Reforms to the Capital Framework

    3:35 p.m. – 4.35 p.m.

    Moderator: Adam Gilbert (PwC)
    Daryl Bible (M&T Bank)
    Alastair Borthwick (Bank of America)
    Rahul Nalgirkar (BMO Bank)
    John Stern (U.S. Bank)
    Mike Verdeschi (Charles Schwab)
    Sharon Yeshaya (Morgan Stanley)

Stablecoin Focus: Bank of America, U.S. Bank, and Morgan Stanley are actively exploring or planning stablecoin issuance, seeing them as a stable, regulated entry point into digital assets for payments and transactions.

The panel moderated by Adam Gilbert (PwC) would likely have focused on how regulatory reforms, such as changes to capital requirements or stablecoin legislation, could enable banks to integrate cryptocurrencies while managing risks like market volatility, compliance costs, and operational challenges.

    Summary:
The Federal Reserve System is the central bank of the United States. It performs five general functions to promote the effective operation of the U.S. economy and, more generally, the public interest.

The Federal Reserve conducts the nation’s monetary policy to promote maximum employment, stable prices, and moderate long-term interest rates in the U.S. economy; promotes the stability of the financial system and seeks to minimize and contain systemic risks through active monitoring and engagement in the U.S. and abroad; promotes the safety and soundness of individual financial institutions and monitors their impact on the financial system as a whole; fosters payment and settlement system safety and efficiency through services to the banking industry and the U.S. government that facilitate U.S.-dollar transactions and payments; and promotes consumer protection and community development through consumer-focused supervision and examination, research and analysis of emerging consumer issues and trends, community economic development activities, and the administration of consumer laws and regulations.
