New to Forum, but Strong Support of Anti-Illegal Immigration
Hello everyone, new to this, just did my whole donation thing and wanted to say hello. I live in the south and here in my city, there are a variety of places, such as restaraunts and construction sites, for which, have been known to hire illegals. I have recently reported one restaraunt in particular to the INS for suspicision of hiring illegals. I'm hoping our politicians will come up with a solution soon to defeat the illegal immigration going on.
Lastly, I feel sorry for those on border patrol, as they are very underfunded and manned.. If I lived near that area, I would certainly help out.

Don't depend on our politicians too much. For the most part, they seem pro-illegal, although, there are some good ones out there. Welcome, Truism! Glad to have you on board. I applaude you for reporting the hiring of illegals! It's gonna take American citizens saying, "we have had enough"!!! to solve this problem. Glad to have you here!

Welcome Truism!
What part of the South are you from? I am in Alabama. I hope to get more Albamians involved. We don't have an organized group here yet (however we do have an Alabama Minutemen Chapter).

Welcome
Welcome! I am new myself! Don't worry about living far away from the border to go and volunteer. That's the excuse I used in October, 2005, as I live in Alexandria, VA, and TX and AZ are far away, but I am saving money, and going for a week this April, 2006 (after I get vetted.) I think that, if you are able to do it financially, save a little money each week so you can go out to the border for 5 to 7 days or so. I'm planning on turning it into a bit of a vacation.
I feel bad for some illegals because I have met people in my community who I strongly suspect are illegal, and they are actually quite nice. Many Hispanics value family, God, and work, which I really admire. But, what they are doing is still not right. People are just people, but when you look at the overall picture, if the illegal immigration isn't stopped, our country as we knew it 10 or 20 or 80 years ago will never be the same again. The wide open borders annoy me the most, and a close second is the number of illegals who were here originally on some sort of tourist or school or work visa, who intentionally overstayed their visa. How could our Fed Govt allow THAT to get out of hand? It doesn't make sense to me.
Keep up the good work, have compassion, and post often.
Joe
