    The Scam Is On

Just got off the phone with the Washington,D.C. office of my congressman. I expressed my opinion about illegal aliens. I was told by one Amy Linn, intern, that I needed to give my name and address so that my opinion could be logged. I explained to Ms. Linn that I have given my name and address repeatedly over the course of the past 2 months and NOT ONCE have I received a response from the representative or his office.

Now here's the good part: "Maybe your opinions got lost in the shuffle."
How in the heck can they lose at least 30 calls and emails "in the shuffle"?

Obviously they aren't losing them. They are blatantly and purposely DESTROYING THEM. There is no other reasonable explanation.

I will continue to call and email because I know it is making some kind of an impact. Ms. Linn's little remark has just made me even more RESOLUTE.

Locals can do it and should this one town at a time.

IGNORE Washington. Local governments and sheriff's offices rarely have to deal with thousands of angry people shutting down there email services and phone systems. Local businesses who violate the law do not have the PR machines to spin the impact. What if one of the members in this group lives in a town that looks the other way on everything. Instead of 5-30 locals showing up to protest with signs they also let groups like this know. Many groups that have gotten together to support the local protest with emails and phone calls demanding they do there job.

Sheriff Joe in Arizona found where he could apply City, County or State law to rack them up in jail for six months to a year. Going back to where ever does not bother ILLEGALS. I think they just see it as a free trip to somewhere and back. A little vacation of sorts and even that is at our expense. Jail does bother them a bit and then Sheriff Joe turns them over to ICE.

Most locals are just not looking for the laws that they can jail them on. It is easier to just throw up their hands and say it is out of their control. I think the locals (State's Rights) are the ones that could get the job done. Most locals have never had their switchboard shut down from thousands of angry people or their email servers crash from thousands of emails saying we are going to hold you accountable for not enforcing local law. A boycott on a small local business would also have more impact. Locals are just as guilty if not more so than Washington. All of them Local, State and Federal have all ignored to enforce laws we have been paying taxes for.

The big guys in Washington are rich and don't care. Just a thought. Input needed always.

I have your back but I think we are outnumbered.

I know your right about NOT ignoring DC. I am just thinking out loud about Irving, Texas where I live as well. DC has controlled our local communities with the dangling the carrot of money if they "act right" and go along.

It would be cool to see this start to happen all over the country locally with national support from groups such as this one town at a time. To have 1000 Sheriff Joe's on the hunt and take the power from DC would be a truly sweet thing. Thanks for your input. It would be nice to solve this without them and at least make them wonder about us not writing them any more.

All ya'll do a great job here. It sometimes seems pretty lonely at the local level though. To know there are others out there is great. Ya'll keep up the good work.

Trouble, just to set the record straight, I also call the local politicians and law enforcement. The candidates running for sheriff in my county don't like the idea of locking up illegal aliens. They claim the sheriff's office doesn't have enough cells to hold them and not enough money to round them up. I've called all three candidates for sheriff. They all sing the same tune: not enough money or room to arrest illegals. Even when an illegal alien is arrested on a criminal charge, they are released back into the community here after they serve their time for the offense. It's the old revolving door mentality.

My local city council is against any kind of punishment for illegal aliens. But that doesn't stop me from calling them each and every week.

I started this thread because it just PROVED how deceitful our congressmen are.

ALIPAC has the right idea. Once we secure the borders and the jobs for illegal aliens dry up, they will leave through attrition. It's the cheapest way to deal with them once the invasion is stopped at the borders and ports.

My motto: contact EVERYBODY through ALL METHODS AVAILABLE.

You're thinking out loud and I'm talking to inanimate objects

I do agree with you and was thrilled with the upset in Va a few weeks ago in Herndon. We really do need to work on the local.
I'm glad you shared you thoughts, TROUBLE.

    GodHelpUs,

I know. I run into the same thing here. The last conversation I had with one of our local candidates ended with no solution they could think of. It is infuriating to say the least. We parted with my saying "so we are just hosed as a community" and he said "pretty much".

It is hard for me to believe that out of them though. Sheriff Joe in Arizona has found a way on the cheap. Army tents in the sun, green baloney sandwiches and pink underwear. He says if tents are good enough for our military it is good enough for these guys. I just think it is an easier job when they don't have to think about a working.

I guess this is the price we pay when our governments Local, State and Federal ignore our law enforcement. Keep up the good fight.

Do you think your town would respond with a different answer if a few thousand people from all over the country started calling them and emailing them demanding they find a solution?

    2ndamendsis,

I am seeing more and more local governments starting to show some intestinal fortitude. It was refreshing to see that in VA as well. We can do it one ILLEGAL at a time through vigilance in making sure our government does not go to sleep again.

I'm game we all just need to pick a test city. Not one so big that they never really give a darn. Someone pick a small city and lets try it. But we do need at least One (1) member in that city. We also could pick a State that has a shakey Governors race coming up. I hear Utah is perty much a Governors nightmare because the Present Governor sides with the Illegals. Just a thought folks but again I'm Game

    hERE YA GO

Do what some friends in Arizona did. Get up groups of three to six people (preferably knowledgeable with the issue) and go to each of your representatives offices. They are not used to a bunch of angry American citizens coming to their offices, much less well informed ones. It scares the crap out of them! FACE TO FACE contact! Letters, emails and phone calls they can brush off, but NOT a bunch of angry citizens standing in their office!

Preferably have a group go in the morning and another one in the afternoon. Go to all of their offices in the State you are from.
