First Lady Arrives at Little Havana School

Little Havana used to be a Cuban neighborhood but as those Cubans who arrived pre 1980's were better off financially they moved elsewhere such as Kendell and other areas in South Miami Dade County. It is now full of illegals from Central Americans and Mexicans and is a high crime area. As people said in the comments after the article people there don't speak English.

First Lady Michelle Obama is speaking to students at Riverside Elementary in Little Havana promoting healthy eating.

She arrived at 3 p.m at the school, where students have been anxiously waiting her arrival. She is there as part of her Let's Move! initiative. The program seeks to solve the childhood obesity problem within a decade.

At Riverside, the First Lady will talk to school officials about promoting fruits and vegetables.

The entire fifth grade class is packed into the cafetorium. There are fresh vegetables at each of the lunch tables. A handful of Miami's celebrity chefs are in the house, walking around and talking to the kids about healthy eating.
