    Forever America

    After having someone attack my character on VOPUSA's site for the last several days, I was inspired to write a poem to shine the light on why I am an activist. For your Patriotic pleasure, and feel free to pass it along.

    Forever America

    As a child listening to stories past,
    Narratives 200 years old,
    A picture began to grow in my mind
    Of Patriots bright and bold.

    Patrick Henry, that outlaw,
    Gathered all his men,
    Marched on Williamsburg,
    Became America’s number one friend.

    Samuel Adams, a tax man,
    In Boston he was born,
    Through a certain Tea Party,
    He showed the British his scorn.

    Immigrant publicist Thomas Paine,
    Wrote in “Common Senseâ€
    Proud wife of an undocumented ICE agent.
