Former border patrol agent speaks on immigration

Zack Taylor was a border patrol agent and a supervisory border patrol agent for 26 years. Though he retired in 2003, he still lives in the same house in Arizona where he has only to look to the south to see the Mexican border.

With states and communities, including Kansas, considering tougher immigration laws, Taylor said he thinks they should look to his state for ideas. Some of the things Arizona has done include penalizing employers who hire illegal immigrants, cutting illegal immigrants off from social services and tracking other ways illegal immigrants receive public benefits.

When asked about the effect Arizona’s laws have had, Taylor responded that they have noticed many illegal immigrants leaving the state. “In 2007, Arizona had one of the highest increases in food stamps. I think we were 10 percent over the previous year.

We expect that to drop dramatically in 2008,â€

I feel another fax coming on to the Congress who hasn't gotten the Save Act on the floor for a vote. Hope they like this article.

I found this part interesting: (Actually it all is but the excuse that illegals don't get benefits is just bologna.)

    Bill Summary: HR 3287

    TROJAN HORSE ALERT !!

Compliments of Rep. Raul M. Grijalva of Arizona:

Grijalva Wilderness Corridor For Illegals Proposed

You're not going to believe this. Rep. Raul Grijalva has introduced two bills that could be used to create a virtual free passage highway for illegals and drug smugglers as a fast track into the United States. Rep. Grijalva is Chairman of the National Parks, Forests and Public Lands Subcommittee of the House Natural Resources Committee.

The first bill is the Tumacacori Highland Wilderness Act of 2007 that creates a new Forest Service Wilderness Area in Arizona on the border with Mexico. This bill, HR 3287, creates a new wilderness
area exactly where a major illegal traffic area already exists. Technically the proposed Tumacacori Wilderness Area is not "on the border with Mexico." It is contiguous with the small, old, Pajarito
Wilderness Area that is directly on the border and links the Pajarito Wilderness Area with Interstate 19 and the Interior of the country.

We call HR 3287 the Open Door Into Our US or ODIOUS Act.

If that was not enough, Rep. Grijalva has also introduced HR 2593 which would shackle the hands of the Border Patrol on Federal lands. Believe it or not, Rep. Grijalva calls HR 2593 The Borderlands Conservation and Security Act of 2007.

HR 2593 is full of cute phrasing and words to throw the reader off as to its true intent. But you might as well just handcuff the Border Patrol on all Federal lands all along the Mexican Border. This bill will have a huge impact on illegal traffic if Congress should pass it. It even blocks the building of a fence along the border.

We call HR 2593 the Handcuff Our Border Law Enforcement Act or HOBLE Act.

These two bills might be called the missing link in the corridor where illegals and drug smugglers will be protected and the Border Patrol handcuffed.

By passing these two bills, Congress will create a massive area open to illegals and vastly strangle the ability of law enforcement and the Border Patrol to fight drug importation and illegal immigration.

You should be outraged. You must take action

Congress Votes 4,2 on Wilderness, Allowing Immigration, Drug Smuggling

Check the lists below of the House Natural Resources Committee and the Homeland Security Committee to see if your Congressman is there. He should be. Whether or not he is listed, you need to call your Congressman immediately.

Members of the House Natural Resources Committee will vote on Wednesday, April 2nd on two Wilderness bills that threaten our Homeland Security, increase drug smuggling and provide a freeway for illegal immigration.

The Grijalva Wilderness Border Bills, on a Vote Fast Track For Illegal Immigration and drug smuggling, will be voted on as part of a Omnibus Wilderness Bill in the House Natural Resources Committee on Wednesday, April 2nd. Nick Joe Rahall (D-WV) is the Chairman. This session is called a Mark-Up. That means Vote in Committee.

The Grijalva Wilderness Border Bills (HR 3287 and HR 2593) are a threat to Homeland Security and basically a freeway for illegal aliens to sneak into the United States and provide an open pathway for drug smugglers.

    Bill Summary: HR 3287

HR 3287 would create a new Forest Service Wilderness area on the border with Mexico. Because cars and other mechanical devices are prohibited, it makes policing a Wilderness Area difficult. Where this Wilderness area is going is already the largest passageway for illegal immigration and drug smuggling in the US. The Wilderness Area will just make it worse.

    Bill Summary: HR 2593

HR 2593 prohibits the Border Patrol from working on Federal land. That means they will be prevented from operating inside the new Wilderness Area. This bill just helps illegals who want to cross the border and drug smugglers get in the United States. Remember you can read both bills yourself by going to www.landrights.org. You can also see a rough map of the area in question.

He says above that it only costs $100 to come here legally. (Plus the cost of a AIRPLANE ticket!) TRUE! JUST UNDER HALF OF THE ILLEGALS IN THE U.S. NEVER CROSSED ANY MEXICAN BORDER! The came into the US on a valid visa given by the STATE DEPARTMENT AT THE AMERICAN EMBASSY OR CONSULATE IN THEIR NATIVE COUNTRY AND WHEN ..SAID VISA EXPIRED THEY NEVER WENT HOME!

It is not just the border folks! Selling visas is the ONLY source of REVENUE for the STATE DEPARTMENT. They take in millions. If the visa receipients are not going home on a tourist visa then why are they still giving so many visas? $$$$$$$$$$$ Always the money! No Visas given, no revenue for STATE Department!

Why is a tourist visa valid for 6 months when many countries limit an American tourist to 30 days? Who can afford to visit the US for 6 months at Disneyworld anyway?

I like the article but it "ain't" just the border and the ICE but the State Department is incompetent!

If they don't want to WAIT the NECESSARY three years to come here, that is just TOO bad! Maybe they should think about improving things in their OWN country instead of trying to SPONGE off US!
