Steve the first concert I went to was the "Murray the K Easter show" at the Brooklyn Fox theater 1965. I didn't know it then but it must have been a lip-sink extravaganza. Little Anthony and the Imperials, The Supremes, Jay and the Americans, The Drifters and many more of that genera.

Each group did 2 or 3 of their hits on stage. The last 2 groups ending the show got to do 4. It was a 4hr show with general seating, the first in line got the best seats.

Only wish my vague memories of it were better.

Actually since we are still getting activity on this thread , I'm going to post
an original song from one of my old bands
    Around 1998

Let me know what you think about these
They are rough studio cuts , they are not finished

I do all the guitar work

    NO FEAR

Cover of All Along the watchtower

This is our kissy kissy , commercial style song

    http://www.youtube.com/user/larry1955#p/u/1/NyF8yU89l6M

This was our long epic song , lots of fun to play live
It was suppose to have classical guitar in the beginning , The singer
was married to my sister and when she died he just gave up the whole deal so we never finished it.

I still write and play , maybe I'll get another band together someday
