Why We Can't Sustain Mass Immigration

The human herd adds 80 million of its members net gain every year. It adds 1 billion every 13 years. It will reach 7 billion in October of this year. It will add another 3 billion by 2050--a scant 39 years from now. This planet cannot sustain that many humans as to our rapacious devouring of water, energy and resources. Therefore, continued immigration into stable countries cannot be sustained. It's time for a worldwide discussion on human population and movement toward rapid human population decline. Here is why:

The green revolution was instigated as a result of the efforts of Norman Borlaug, who, while accepting the Nobel peace prize in 1970, said: "The green revolution has won a temporary success in man's war against hunger and deprivation; it has given man a breathing space. If fully implemented, the revolution can provide sufficient food for sustenance during the next three decades. But the frightening power of human reproduction must also be curbed; otherwise the success of the green revolution will be ephemeral only."
