Really.......this game seems to be rougher on the spectators. I'll stick with American Football. Helmets, pads, and the funny shaped ball.

Are they going to start waving flags on our streets again if their country wins?

care to play , don't chicken out on me fruit cakes!!!
think about it, the Brits invented Rugby out of football, back inthe 1800 ths, check out history , what is called today football here, derived from what is called soccer ., WOW confusing , just check out the Ivy league and harvard- Princenton in the early 1900's,

some [mod edit] came out with the idea of calling it soccer, while it was futbol for over 2000 years!!!! the Aztec's and Greeks played it too.""
I usually don't care what people say on the internet, but try and remember where you are the next time YOU decide to use that word. I'm not a moderator, nor do I care to be one, but letting that word slide as easy as you just did shows me just where you are coming from. Maybe this site just isn't for you. You might be better off on a sports forum where the word GRINGO is welcome, because I can assure you this, it ISN'T here. You have just joined my boycott list. I will no longer waste my time responding to your posts.

I guess it never occurred to you that if your little soccer players tried what the NFL players do without pads, they'd all be crippled in the first quarter of a season. Look at the injuries in an average game of soccer, played without pads, and in an average NFL game, and the reason for pads is obvious. Most soccer players wouldn't survive NFL training camp, much less a season, and that's if they're wearing pads and helmet.

Well said. Only I don't think those geeky soccer players could survive a college training camp let alone an NFL training camp. There is no comparison . Any field goal kicker in the NFL could take the toughest soccer player out there. What a joke.

redwhite and blue latino the minivan was invented so that little girls' mothers could take them and their little girl teams to soccer games. I don't know how much testosterone is involved in that. The Aztecs and Incas played a game like soccer. The object was to get a small ball in a hole with about the same circumference as the ball. The game could last for days because there was an intensely motivating factor at work. The losing team at least in the case of the Incas was sacrificed. Wonderful history I'll stick with football.
Don't mean to sound mean spirited I admire your enthusiasm for your sport. I feel that way about fishing. Which I also do without pads.
