Thread: MSNBC This morning (7:00am+ Pacific) Anyone watching?

I normally don't even browse MSNBC (way too friendly to the OBL establishment) ...but, I was surfing through the cable news channels and found that they are re-running their entire coverage from the morning of 9/11/01.

In the coverage, there have been a couple of real 'nuggets' of information for our side. On more than one occasion, at least one guest (James Kallstrom retired FBI NYC), and one commentator (Brokaw) made references to the fact we are 'an open society, with "open borders"'. In particular, Kallstrom said basically that it is really hard to prevent such terrorist disasters because we have 'undocumented people entering the country every day'.

This is just an FYI, that's all.

Here's an excellent PBS Frontline production which is highly related (and uses interviews with Mr. Kallstrom) about 9/11, terrorism, the ineptitude of the US Federal Government, etc. - it's worth a look - if you have the time and broadband connection:

I like your avatar. I just watched the movie the other night. We lost a member of our congregation that day who back there on business. I'll never forget this. If you visit "Other Stories" section you'll see a thread about a flight turned back out of Florida with middle eastern family taken off the plane and having hits for Semtex through security. We are just as vulnerable today as we were that day.

Our open border makes it even worse. These people are VERY patient. All they have to do is come in and wait for years as a cell here. I believe they will use all means to their advantage. Legal entry and overstay and over the border, through our ports, mexican trucks etc.

Our politicians just don't care. I only count about 10 who are useful to the American citizen.

Hi, I was watching some news and they asked a man on the street what he thought about the coverage of 9/11 rememberance, he replied, " It's a disgrace. " Another reason we are losing America!

Caps ad on TV telling how 98% of the population increase in Calif. is through immigration. How many American's will ignore that hard paid for Commercial.

We can take our pick or choose both, hit by terrorist sneaking across our borders and being allowed in legally or allowing our Nation to be so overrun by third world populations they will take us over at the ballot box winning their Socialist govt.

Gogo: Sorry, I wasn't very clear in my earlier posts.
(The first is only distantly related to the second). Basically, I didn't include a link to any MSNBC site. The other link is to PBS Frontline program special which aired on PBS I think in late 2002 or early 2003. Excellent program - I included it because it features a lot of info about the investigatory efforts leading up to (and ultimately failing to stop) the 9/11 attackes.

I'm still awed by the fact that ANYONE could have carried out such a spectacularly brilliant attack on the the world's superpower! It's inconceivable!

I'm also so angry with our government for not preventing it! As Tom Brokaw said, Bin Ladin warned us that a 'spectacular' attack would occur in 3 weeks. It did. Everyone was asleep at the wheel. And, sadly, they are STILL asleep at the wheel!

Our lives are changed forever; we will always be on the defense. Instead of closing our borders, Bush threw them wide open. Instead of banning Muslims from our country, we are installing foot baths for them!

Six years later, we have to face the fact that we have no one in Washington to protect us. Instead, we have idiots like Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi who want to sit down and chit chat with the terrorists!

God help us all!

Isn't that the truth AmericanMe. The Democrats are very dangerous for this country. They are pandering to the illegals for Hispanic votes. They will sell you and me out for foreign votes. If that's the only way they can win, what does that tell you. Moveon.org owns them. I guess Rudy said on CNN the other day that coming over our borders isn't a crime. He's out for me.

Don't be to sure, AmericanMe, that our government wasn't in on it. They are cunning, vile and decieptful as hell, some or most of them anyway, especially this so-called president we have.

Rockfish I totally disagree with you. We lost a friend when the first plane hit. I've seen all the conspiracy theories and "Popular Mechanics" has answered them all. It's not even feasible that our government, that can't keep a secret on anything and announces it to the NY Times, could keep something like that secret is just plain ludicrous. Common sense refutes most of those theories.
