Garrido's plan - he wants feedback!

    And yet another update...

    2006 Election Strategy

This afternoon, the United States Senate will approve Senate Bill 2611: The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act.

The next step will be to reconcile Senate Bill 2611 with House Bill 4437. There are major differences in the Bills. The House Bill only addresses security and does not include a guest worker program.

The Senate Bill does include a guest worker program but is diluted with immigrants with less than 5 years in the United States having to return to country of origin to apply for entry back into the USA. Those in the country two to five years under the compromise would have to go to a point of entry, exit and file an application to return as a guest worker. Those here less than two years must leave the country, but could apply from their native country to return as a guest worker and wait in line to get a visa.

In the event there is reconciliation of the House and Senate Bills, immigration reform will become even more diluted because the Reconciliation Conference Committee will be controlled by Republicans from both House and Senate.

Should reconciliation be reached of the two Bills, the proposed legislation will be sent to the White House for the President’s signature. Upon his signature, the proposed legislation becomes the law of the United States.

The Republican House majority is responsible for the diluted legislation. Fortunately, laws can be modified by future sessions of the United States Congress.

For this to happen, the House Republican leadership has to be replaced by Democrats.

For this reason, we are establishing “Hispanics Turn to Democrats” and its website: www.GoDem.org to change the House leadership from Republicans to Democrats.

We will do this contingent upon receiving an assurance from the Democrats that if we deliver, our price is to re-visit this year’s immigration reform legislation in 2007 and changed to better accommodate the needs of Hispanics.

We can not do this by ourselves. We need your help to achieve any of this. The first request we have of you: Do you agree with this strategy?

If you do agree, then the next step is we need your help to raise funds to finance all of this.

    Your feedback would be appreciated.

    Regards,

    Jon Garrido

I do hope dxd reads this post of yours, he is so down on the republicans, here plainly he can be very, very proud of his democrats!
I say, thank God for those republicans standing strong against this bill put forth by repugnant Democrat senator Teddy K. and the traitorous liberal republican senator John McCain.
Build the dam fence post haste!
