I made a phone call to Patty Murray's Senate office to voice my displeasure with their opposition to tabling the Vitter Amendment. I would have to say that this office is definitely part of the Pelosi Borg cube. Here in Washington State the communist/collectivist entities have long had the ear of our Representatives, we seem to collect the neuvo-trash of the Yuppie world and put them in office. The argo-terror lobby (thanks for indulging that title) is really strong here as well and funds the communist activist groups for "actions" like phone calling, protests etc. If you live in Washington State or the Puget Sound area, we really need to take back our state. For example, people in Seattle have a tendency to be laid back and to themselves adn this allows the loudmouths and psycopaths the grease from the squeaky wheel. So please make some calls to Murray and Cantwell.

INSTRUCTIONS FROM ROY:

TELL THE STAFFER WHO ANSWERS THE PHONE SOMETHING LIKE THIS:

(1) Express your outrage (but do not take it out on the staffer) over your senators vote to table Sen. Vitter's amendment (SA 3277) to the CJS spending bill (H.R. 3093). That amendment would have prohibited "COPS" money to cities that support sanctuary policies. (COPS is a Federal grant program to state and local law enforcement agencies to advance community policing.)

(2) Express your indignation that the senator supports rewards for illegal immigration and gets in the way of enforcement nearly every chance he/she gets, and let them know that they had better redeem themselves quickly by opposing the effort by Senators Durbin and Reid to attach the DREAM Act amnesty to the Labor-HHS bill (H.R. 3043).

(3) Let them know that the Democratic leadership has failed the party and the country with its open support for lawlessness. The Party leadership is failing its constituents by encouraging more illegal labor to compete with hard-working, tax-paying, law-abiding citizens for jobs and wages.

Talking point: Your vote to support sanctuary cities makes it clear that you are firmly in the pocket of cheap labor lobbyists and could care less about American workers, particularly minorities who shoulder most of the burden that accompanies illegal immigration.

Talking point: The Vitter amendment would have effectively eliminated sanctuary policies in local municipalities, whereby law enforcement officials are barred from asking suspects about their immigration status or reporting them to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Shame on the senator for protecting these law-breaking municipalities.

Talking point: The Vitter amendment would have ensured that existing law is enforced uniformly across the country by withholding COPS Federal funding for cities that choose to violate section 642(a) of the 1996 Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act (IIRIRA). The Vitter amendment would have passed if only six more senators had stood up against illegal immigration.

Talking point: Millions of Americans have seen the quality of life of their communities and occupations deteriorate because of the presence of the protected illegal aliens in these sanctuary cities, which also encourages more foreign workers to move to the U.S. to become illegal aliens.
