It terrifies me to think anyone in the GOP could possibly consider Gingrich. Freddie Mac stealing homes from American citizens and selling to foreign investors, providing free US citizenship ... thanks to Newt !!

If Jack Abramoff, who just got out of prison for doing the same thing Newt has done; calls Newt corrupt and a liar; that's pretty telling.

If you all are wondering why the GOP elite have started lining up behind Newt and why he is suddenly polling so high, it's because he has cultivated, pandered and gotten the hispanic vote.

YES, kiddies, the new 'immigrant' vote , legal or not, is worth more than yours!

IF they are 'legal residents', they are allowed to vote in local elections...how do you think we get stuck with the likes of LA's mayor??

And they just plain vote whether it's legal or not...why should they follow that law when they break the others??

ALIEN VOTING IN OTHER JURISDICTIONS

Since 1968, New York City has granted resident aliens who are the parents of school children the right to vote and run for community school board (N. Y. Educ. Law § 2590 (c)(3)). The City of Chicago similarly gives such parents the right to vote in school board elections (105 Ill. Comp. Stat. Ann. 5/34-2. 1(d)(ii)). In 1992, Takoma Park, Maryland, amended its municipal charter to give all residents, regardless of citizenship, the right to vote, and run for office, in local elections (Takoma Park Charter §§ 601 and 603). Four smaller Maryland municipalities, all in Montgomery County, followed Takoma’s example and now allow resident aliens to participate in local elections. These municipalities are Somerset (Charter Art. 5 § 83-21), Barnesville (Charter § 74-3), Chevy Chase Sections 3 and 5, and Martin’s Addition.

The most recent, successful non-citizen voting initiatives have been in Massachusetts. The city councils in Amherst and Cambridge voted to ask the state legislature to approve home rule petitions that would allow resident aliens to vote in local elections. To date, the legislature has not acted on the petitions.

Absolutely! How do you think Harry Reid got re-elected in Nevada? Voter fraud is rampant! I dont' know about other states, but they don't check your ID when you go in to vote here.

They don't they go by the signatures.......I can't believe Harry Reid got in either....right there it showed something was out of whack.
