No news Sunday
Regardless of the events last week in North Carolina and regardless of the many polls targeting Illegal Immigration as MOST important, it is interesting to note that of the two Sunday news shows I watched (FOX and MEET THE PRESS), neither thought the topic worthy of discussion. I have my own ideas—what are yours?

Welcome LAS!
You are absolutely on target here! Immigration and the ongoing conflict in Iraq are going to be portrayed as less essential news by the biased government directed media moving forward. Because they are the most politically sensitive issues of our time, and the politicians have no answers to the problems they pose (at least none they think we will swallow), the attention of the public is going to be intentionally redirected. I expect the election campaigns, seasonal holiday promotions/emotions, and an occassional local crisis or controversy to dominate the network news for weeks to come...
Be wary though, when public attention is being redirected as you mentioned. That normally means something else is afoot and afoul. The legislators are a crafty bunch, and sneaking through deceptive legislation is becoming the norm rather than the exception.

That is true.
The media ignored the situation for 30 years. WE had a bit of a blather when the 80's amnesty was passed - after that, it just didn't exist.
Anyone who mentioned illegal immigration was treated as if they had lost their minds - 'illegals?'.
The only stories we ever got was something some touchy feely story - usually about the child of some illegal who made good grades, etc.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
