Romney hits Florida with Spanish ads

    Spanish TV Spot

    Spanish-language radio ad discussed here:

Just in case Mitt Romney's primary-mailer operation, television ads and Spanish-language spot weren't enough to show that he's the only Republican candidate with deep enough pockets to seriously compete in Florida, here's another sign: He's also up on Spanish-language radio.

The minute-long ad airing on morning drive-time talk shows features Romney's Spanish-speaking son, Craig, repeating a line from the TV spot: "Mitt Romney believes in our American values because he has lived them, and will fight to restore the greatness of our nation."

A woman's voice then touts Romney's business experience (no mention of Bain Capital) and endorsements from three Miami Republicans:

Mitt Romney knows how to create jobs and has a plan to awaken the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit of the United States. Mitt Romney believes in us and is convinced that our best days are ahead of us. That is why Congress members Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Mario Diaz-Balart and Lincoln Diaz-Balart are supporting Mitt Romney to be our Republican candidate for the presidency of the United States, and they respectfully ask you to vote for Romney...

Then Romney himself wraps up with a disclaimer: "Soy Mitt Romney y apruebo este mensaje. Muchas gracias."

Yeah and if you look at the stances of those three congress members, everyone of them supported a comprehensive immigration reform bill, along with numerous other pro-illegal bills. Is he sending a message perhaps, or is he just trying to get elected? Nobody knows. I personally think if a President Romney found a amnesty bill on his desk he would sign and make up some excuse why he had to sign it, to many red flags, to much flip flopping.

It won't do any good "Latino's" even though they're not fond of Obama right now, they will not cross party lines! Any latino votes the GOP had they still have! In other words a waste of time and money!

Plus the Latino vote only makes up 8% to 15% of the vote. Depending on how many illegals get to vote. That's why he's been granting all these backdoor amnesties to get that percentage up around 25%

I think Romney may have supporters in Florida with Hispanic/Latino communities. Some Puerto Ricans living in Florida probably hate illegal immigration and some Cubans probably do to.

It's curious though. Why Spanish? The only explanation is he's targeting illegal immigrants in Florida who cannot speak English. Like the Spanish ad on Yahoo News, this is targeting illegals. Legal Hispanics know English Romney! He's having it both ways.

Hmm... is this true? Do you live in Florida sajason? I don't know any of these politicians, but I'm going to do some digging now that you mention it.

If that's the case than he chose some of the worst congressman to name in that ad.

    Ileana Ros-Lehtinen on Immigration
    Lincoln Diaz-Balart on Immigration
    Mario Diaz-Balart on Immigration

That's some good work there sajason. See I knew Romney couldn't be trusted. This guy doesn't care about illegal immigration, because if he did, he wouldn't allow these three to support him. On one hand he advocates for an English only country and on another he releases a Spanish language ad!? I mean what is that? He is clearly speaking to the illegal immigrant community, but he is doing it covertly.
