GOP House to vote next week to repeal ObamaCare, after attacking law piece by piece

The Republican-led House is set to begin February with a vote to repeal ObamaCare, making clear that trying to dismantle the health-care law remains a top priority.

The scheduled vote next week was announced in a new memo from House Majority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy to fellow GOP House members in which he said the effort to repeal the legislation will give them an opportunity to tell voters that health care decisions “should be made by patients and their doctors, not by Washington.”

The California lawmaker also stated that members should remind Americans that the country needs solutions that reduce costs and give them access to “21st Century cures and treatments” -- an often repeated message at congressional Republicans’ policy retreat earlier this month.

“First, we will consider (a bill) to protect individuals from government-imposed cost increases and reduced access to care and coverage by repealing ObamaCare,” McCarthy said in the memo obtain Thursday by Fox News.

GOP House and Senate leaders emerged from the retreat saying they intend to fix problems associated with ObamaCare but with no clear plan on whether they would focus on a full repeal or just change parts.

The House has already voted this year to redefine full-time work under the law -- an attempt to keep businesses from hiring part-time workers to avoid having to offer insurance.

And chamber leaders also want to repeal the law’s tax on medical-device makers, which they say is hurting businesses and has bipartisan support.

Last week, leaders of the now GOP-controlled Senate introduced legislation to eliminate to law’s so-called employer mandate, arguing that companies with 50 or more workers should not be required to pay for employee health insurance.

However, President Obama has made clear he will veto any legislation that he thinks scales back access to health care that his law now provides to millions of previously uninsured Americans.

The president and fellow Democrats have also been critical about Republicans’ repeated attempts to repeal the law without party leaders presenting a viable alternative.

McCarthy, in his memo, instructed relevant House committees to “develop our patient-centered health care reforms."

Congressional Republicans have acknowledged that a Supreme Court case on ObamaCare tax subsidies for customers will impact their strategy.

If the subsidies are rules unconstitutional, the law could unravel on its own, say some observers. The ruling is expected by June.

Wake Up Little Stupid Bunnies, the US Supreme Court is not going to solve this problem. It is very rare in the history of our nation for the US Supreme Court to adequately or properly resolve most of our nation's problems. Hiding behind their little skirts and trousers waiting for them to save you is silly and foolish. Now pass the friggin bill that repeals Obama Care in its entirety by the largest majorities you can muster, and keep on passing it until we have a President who will sign it or enough votes in Congress to override the veto. No negotiations or compromises on the repeal, a simple and pure total repeal of this burden on our treasury that is an invasion of our medical privacy, a bashing of our most fundamental civil rights, and an economic and financial mandate on our citizens that we neither want or need and most can't afford. Replace this evil foreign-inspired piece of socialist crap with a simple one page bill that resolves the health care issues most important to most Americans which are:

1. prohibit denial of policies for those with preexisting conditions
2. prohibit dropped coverages because you got sick
3. prohibit rescission of policies without cause
4. repeal the McCarran-Ferguson Act of 1945 which is a Democratic Party piece of garbage that excludes the insurance industry from the Sherman Anti-Trust Act if regulated by a state which was passed to side-step a ruling by the US Supreme Court that would otherwise put these gigantic companies under federal regulation like every other business in the United States.

That's it. That is absolutely all we need to do to "fix" our health insurance industry. If the insurance companies don't like the rules, then tell them to get out of the business and clear the way for someone who does.

You do these 4 simple things, and you won't hear another word about the government doing something about health insurance costs from our industry, our employers, our businesses, our workers, or our citizens. I'm sure you'll still hear from foreign globalists and illegal aliens wanting something from US that is either none of their business or a service to which they are not entitled.

And, if you even let these foreign ass hats in your office buildings or our Capitol, then you deserve to be recalled or kicked out of your high offices with your high-flying lifestyles next election and put in the line with the unemployed and disenfranchised where you probably have belonged all along.

NOW DO YOUR JOBS OR GET OUT AND CLEAR THE WAY FOR SOMEONE WHO WILL.

Republicans will not only dismantle Obama Care, they will repeal Obama Care in the House and Senate. And if they can't override a veto this year or next, then they'll repeal it again in 2017. Either way, foreign socialist-inspired and written Obama Care is going down and out.
