Help Needed with Today's Last Americans Show 3pm ET 12 PST

    Friends,

I need a little help with today's Last Americans Show.

    1. I need as many live listeners and people ready to call in as possible.
Since we are relaunching the show, it will take some time for word to spread so please help us with the kick off.

Remember you can listen live via www.republicbroadcasting.org or www.lastamericans.us and the CALL IN NUMBER IS 800-313-9443

    2. Please visit some other online communities over the next few hours and make posts about today's show to encourage others to listen in and join in.

    3. There are two topics I want to dicsuss on today's show that I need links to the articles about and some opinions about.

    I need links to

    Article 1

The article about Bill Clinton receiving hundreds of millions of dollars in donations from other nations especially in the middle east. Please tell me if I am correct in my belief that these funds were revealed recently and there was no way for the American media or public to know about these funds prior to the recent release?

    Article 2

I need a link to the article that has a researcher from a war college saying that large numbers of US troops may need to be recalled from around the world to deal with internal threats here in the USA.

Please help me by finding these, posting the titles and links and your comments and opinions before the show in a few hours.

Looking forward to being back on the air with you today.

Clinton Foundation releases names of donors
List aims to ease conflict-of-interest concerns for Hillary
    Friday, December 19, 2008 2:59 AM
By Philip Rucker and James V. Grimaldi
    The Washington Post
WASHINGTON -- Former President Bill Clinton has raised more than $500 million for his charitable foundation from foreign governments, including Saudi Arabia, and an international who's who of royal families, corporate barons, philanthropic foundations, entertainment personalities, Democratic donors and longtime friends of the Clinton family, according to a list of donors made public for the first time yesterday.

Lifting a veil of secrecy, the William J. Clinton Foundation disclosed a 2,922-page list of more than 200,000 benefactors as part of an accord with President-elect Barack Obama that allows Clinton's wife, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., to become secretary of state.

Among the multimillion-dollar donors are foreign states, multinational corporations and international business moguls. They represent a thicket of potential conflicts of interest that Sen. Clinton must avoid should she become the nation's top diplomat.

Saudi Arabia, the Australian government's overseas-aid program and a Dominican Republic government agency that fights AIDS each gave $10 million to $25 million to the Clinton Foundation, a nonprofit that financed the former president's library in Little Rock, Ark., and funds charitable efforts to fight poverty and chronic global-health problems.

Norway gave $5 million to $10 million, while Brunei, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar each donated $1 million to $5 million. The Jamaican and Italian governments each donated $50,000 to $100,000, according to the donor list.

Real-estate and Hollywood mogul Stephen Bing, New York billionaire Thomas Golisano, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Chicago media magnate Fred Eychaner were among the biggest donors, giving $10 million to $25 million each.

Peter B. Lewis, chairman (and former CEO) of the Progressive Insurance Company in Cleveland, was among the donors who contributed $500,001 to $1 million to the foundation.

One of the more controversial donations came from Frank Giustra, a financier of mining ventures who flew Clinton to Kazakhstan in 2005 on his private jet as the former president solicited donations. Clinton praised Kazakhstan's authoritarian president, and Giustra later agreed to invest in uranium projects controlled by the government. Giustra gave $10 million to $25 million, and the Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative gave $1 million to $5 million, according to the donor list.

The Clinton Foundation did not release the exact amounts nor the dates of the donations. It listed dollar amounts in broad ranges, emulating the rules for filling out federal financial disclosure forms.

"I want to personally express my deepest appreciation to our many contributors, who remain steadfast partners in our work to impact the lives of so many around the world in measurable and meaningful ways," President Clinton said. "We have just begun, and it is an honor and privilege to be on this journey alongside each and every person who is committed to our foundation's ongoing charitable mission."

The foundation has no legal requirement to identify its contributors, but the former president agreed to make the names public to avoid any appearance of a conflict of interest.

Friends of Saudi Arabia and the Dubai Foundation each gave $1 million to $5 million. Haim Saban, the Egyptian-born media tycoon who funds many Israeli initiatives, gave $5 million to $10 million, while Saudi businessman Nasser al-Rashid and Black Entertainment Television founder Robert Johnson gave $1 million to $5 million each.

The list of corporate donors includes several companies that have figured prominently in the nation's current financial crisis, including Lehman Brothers, CitiGroup, Freddie Mac and General Motors. Entertainment figures who donated to the foundation include producer Steven Spielberg, actress Cameron Diaz and singer Barbra Streisand.

Billionaire financier and political supporter George Soros and his Open Society Institute each gave major donations, while the Wal-Mart Foundation and the private foundation of the Walton family, which founded the nation's largest retail chain, gave at least $1 million each. Bernard Schwartz, a major Democratic donor and former head of defense contracting firms, gave $1 million to $5 million.

Among the foundation's smaller donors is Blackwater Worldwide, the largest U.S. security contractor in Iraq, which donated $10,000 to $25,000. The next secretary of state will help determine whether Blackwater will keep its contract in the wake of a shooting incident last year that killed 17 Iraqis. Five Blackwater guards are under indictment for their roles, and a sixth has pleaded guilty.

Several political figures also gave to the foundation, including New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine, former Clinton administration Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and San Francisco financier Richard Blum, who is married to Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.

Denise Rich, the politically active ex-wife of fugitive financier Mark Rich, who was pardoned by Clinton, gave $250,000 to $500,000. Former trial lawyer William Lerach, who pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiracy to obstruct justice this year, and conservative tycoon Richard Mellon Scaife each gave $100,000 to $250,000.

U.S. sugar magnate Alfonso Fanjul Jr. donated more than $50,000. Fanjul's name surfaced in the 1998 report of independent counsel Kenneth Starr on President Clinton. Starr said in his report that Fanjul had called the president when Monica Lewinsky apparently was in the Oval Office.

The largest donations, more than $25 million each, came from the Children's Investment Fund Foundation and UNITAID, an international drug-purchase organization that provides care for AIDS and malaria patients.

This is just part of the list, other names and countries are in the story

The foundation's donor list includes many overseas business interests:

_Saudi businessman Nasser Al-Rashid gave $1 million to $5 million.

_Friends of Saudi Arabia and the Dubai Foundation each gave $1 million to $5 million, as did the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office.

_The Swedish Postcode Lottery gave $500,000 to $1 million.

_China Overseas Real Estate Development and the U.S. Islamic World Conference gave $250,000 to $500,000 apiece.

_The No. 4 person on the Forbes billionaire list, Lakshmi Mittal, the chief executive of international steel company ArcelorMittal, gave $1 million to $5 million. Mittal is a member of the Foreign Investment Council in Kazakhstan, Goldman Sachs' board of directors and the World Economic Forum's International Business Council, according to the biography on his corporate Web site.

_Simon Barcelo, chief executive of Barcelo Hotels & Resorts, gave $500,000 to $1 million. The company's holdings include hotels in Cuba, a communist country subject to U.S. trade sanctions.

_Victor P. Dahdaleh, who gave $1 million to $5 million, is a Canadian investor and philanthropist involved in aluminum production. His business ties have brought allegations of fraud and bribery in a lawsuit filed by a Bahrain aluminum company. The suit seeks more than $1 billion in damages for what it alleges is Dadaleh's involvement in questionable deals in the Middle East, and the Justice Department has opened a criminal investigation into the matter. Dahdaleh has vowed to vigorously contest the charges.

Among other $1 million to $5 million donors:

_Harold Snyder, director for Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, the largest drug company in Israel. His son, Jay T. Snyder, serves on the U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy, which oversees State Department activities, and served as a senior U.S. adviser to the United Nations, where he worked on international trade and poverty. Jay Snyder donated between $100,000 and $250,000 to the foundation.

_No. 97 on the Forbes billionaire list, Ethiopian-Saudi business tycoon Sheikh Mohammed H. Al-Amoudi.

_Issam Fares, a former deputy prime minister of Lebanon.

_Mala Gaonkar Haarman, a partner and managing director at the private investment partnership Lone Pine Capital.

_Lukas Lundin, chairman of oil, gas and mining businesses including Tanganyika Oil Company Ltd., an international oil and gas exploration and production company with interests in Syria, and Vostok Nafta Investment Ltd., an investment company that focuses on Russia and other former Soviet republics.

_Victor Pinchuk, son-in-law of the former president of Ukraine. Clinton spoke in 2007 at an annual meeting of Yalta European Strategy, a group Pinchuk founded to promote Ukraine joining the European Union.

The top ranks of Clinton's donor list are heavy with longtime Democratic givers, some notable for their staunch support of Israel.

_TV producer Haim Saban and his family foundation, who donated between $5 million and $10 million, splits his time between homes in Israel and California. "I'm a one-issue guy and my issue is Israel," he told The New York Times in 2004.

_Slim-Fast diet foods tycoon S. Daniel Abraham, a donor of between $1 million and $5 million, has been a board member of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, which promotes Israel's interests before the U.S. government.

_The American Jewish Committee and the United Nations Foundation donated $100,000 to $250,000.

Clinton thanked his donors in a statement for being "steadfast partners in our work to impact the lives of so many around the world in measurable and meaningful ways."

The former president agreed to step away from direct involvement in the Clinton Global Initiative, an annual charitable conference where businesses and many foreign governments pledge donations to help ameliorate AIDS, poverty and other social ills. He will continue serving as CGI's founding chairman but will not solicit money or sponsorships. The CGI will cease accepting foreign contributions and will not host events outside the United States.

Clinton started raising money for his library before leaving the White House. Over the years, the Clintons repeatedly refused to identify all the foundation donors, and continued to do so during Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

Names surfaced nonetheless. Several news organizations unearthed foreign-government donors, and in 2001, Bill Clinton turned over a list of 150 top foundation donors to a House committee investigating his pardon of fugitive businessman Marc Rich, whose ex-wife, Denise Rich, gave the library foundation at least $450,000.

"TOP SECRET" U.S MILITARY DOCUMENT DECLARES EXISTENCE OF "DOMESTIC INSURGENCY" INSIDE UNITED STATES

PLAN OUTLINES GOVERNMENT INTENT TO USE MILITARY FORCE AGAINST U.S. CITIZENS OVER POLITICAL ISSUES!

DESCRIBES USING PSYCHOLOGICAL OPERATIONS, OUTRIGHT MILITARY FORCE AND MEDIA PROPAGANDA AGAINST U.S. CITIZENS..

he United States military's Northern Command, formed in the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks, is dedicating a combat infantry team to deal with catastrophes in the U.S., including terrorist attacks and natural disasters.

The 1st Brigade Combat Team of the 3rd Infantry, which was first into Baghdad, Iraq, in 2003, started its controversial assignment Wednesday.

The First Raiders will spend 2009 as the first active-duty military unit attached to the U.S. Northern Command since it was created. They will be based in Fort Stewart, Georgia, and focus primarily on logistics and support for local police and rescue personnel, the Army says.

The plan is drawing skepticism from some observers who are concerned that the unit has been training with equipment generally used in law enforcement, including beanbag bullets, Tasers, spike strips and roadblocks.

That kind of training seems a bit out of line for the unit's designated role as Northern Command's CCMRF (Sea Smurf), or CBRNE Consequence Management Response Force. CBRNE stands for chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosive incidents.

James, this source is Hal Turner. That guy is a racist and he has been discredited again and again for releasing BS. Please do not cite Hal Turner as a source.

In general Hal Turner's info is not welcome here at alipac unless we are researching it because it is going around on the web. His stuff makes rounds on the web but has usually been determined to be false or a hoax.
