The Mexican Truck Demonstration Project
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/artic ... E_ID=57296
Get ready! Beginning September 1, hundreds, perhaps thousands of Mexican 18-wheelers will invade the highways of America in what is innocuously called "The Mexican Truck Demonstration Project".
Quote:
"FMCSA and DOT actions in pushing the Mexican truck demonstration project has been "reprehensible". The administration is determined to push the Mexican truck project down the throats of the American people and Congress". - Todd Spencer, executive vice president of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers AssociationThis so-called "demonstration project" puts at risk every American who drives or rides on the highways, roads and streets of this country. Here are just a few of the potential problems I anticipate with having sub-standard Mexican trucks and foreign operators freely operating in the U.S. on America's highways:
1. unqualified, inexperienced foreign drivers, unfamiliar with U.S. highway laws & DOT regulations
2. poorly maintained, substandard (unsafe) Mexican trucks
3. increased danger resulting from foreign truckers unable to understand highway signs in English
4. low-paid, unskilled foreign truckers, unfairly competing against professional U.S. operators
5. easy to evade paying U.S. taxes, fees and fines
6. greater potential for illegal trafficking of drugs and illegal aliens
7. increased opportunity (bribes) for criminals, even terrorists to infiltrate into the U.S
Just like NAFTA was a bad idea, having Mexican trucks and foreign truck drivers entering the U.S. and
driving on America's highways is a bad idea for America, and not in the best interest of Americans.

My father is an over the road truck driver. He hears a lot of stuff on the CB about this. Most aren't going to stand for it. They will be dealing with it in their own way he said, but wouldn't go further. It looks like it's going to get ugly out there.

HAP: I WAS POSTING ABOUT THIS EARLIER. IN REALITY THOSE MEXICAN TRUCK DRIVERS WILL BE DRIVING THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE USA.
THINK ABOUT IT. NO ONE WANTS THEM HERE. THEY HAVE TO STOP AND EAT. THEY NEED COFFEE. THE NEED TO USE THE BATHROOM. THEY NEED TO STOP AND SLEEP. ON OCCASION THEY MAY GET ILL AND NEED TO GO TO THE ER. THEY MAY NEED A MECHANIC....OR REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THEIR TRUCK. THEY MAY NEED TO STOP TO BUY SUPPLIES LIKE SOAP AND SO ON.
IN REALITY IF NO ONE WANTS THEM HERE, THEY WILL HAVE A REALLY HARD TIME. EVEN DRIVING ALONG THE FREEWAY......THROUGH TUNNELS....UNDER OVERPASSES....IN THE DARK OF NIGHT......EARLY IN THE MORNING. IT COULD VERY WELL GET UGLY....VERY UGLY.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I've been doing a lot of research about the Mexican truckers. They use illegal drugs to stay awake and drive up to 48 hours with no sleep. Some run 3-4 drivers per truck and run that truck 24/7. Most don't have homes, they live in the truck. So, if they come in here with a team of drivers, they will run 24/7, and one will always remain with the truck. There are stipulations on where they can stop. I doubt it will be at one of our truck stops. The police have been told to keep "hands off" the Mexican trucks. But, if you see an unsafe Mexican truck on the road, that maybe cut you off, ran over the line, call 911!
This test is to last a year. During that year, our school buses, our truckers, our cars are in danger. You and everyone you know are the test dummies!
Anyone that has a problem, injury or has someone in their family die from this needs to sue the government!
They do not have enough inspectors to inspect all the trucks. Most of the truck companies are now owned by the drug cartel.
I could go on. But you get the idea. This is a stupid assinine idea. But, come on, Bush and all in Washington aren't going to be on the road with them!I'd rather die living then live dying!

This is disgusting. Maybe US truckers should get together and block off the US-Mexican border. Mexican truckers can't just cross the border anywhere.
How about this idea? If US truckers are willing to do this I"m willing to haul my butt down to the border and help 'em out!por las chupacabras todo, fuero de las chupacabras nada
