You folks seem to have over-looked another bill that relates to Illegal immigration! HB 1477 introduced by Rep. Don Armes! If you intend to be a definative source for news on this subject you need to do your research fully and completely, instead of favoring one or two authors of bills related to this subject matter!

2. HB 1477 by Armes: Requires persons to have proof of citizenship at all times; disallows the hiring of or rent/purchase of property to illegal aliens; modifies requirements of birth certificates.

HB 1477: Would amend provisions relating to immigration status, by prohibiting employers from hiring aliens who do not have a valid state issued identification, driver's license, alien visa permit, green card or other acceptable identification issued by state or federal governments. Would require an alien to carry and display such documentation, as Oklahomans do their driver's licenses. Would prohibit an alien or person who is not a citizen from renting, leasing or purchasing real estate or personal property such as vehicles, construction and farming equipment, or any other items of personal property. Would prohibit public school districts from admitting persons who are not citizens, or the children of persons who are not citizens.

please make your way to state laws and then click on Oklahoma.
scroll down and you will see 1477 is there.
it was added today as were a few other Oklahoma bills.

When the first of the proposed bills was posted, i posted every thing i could find on immigration, e-verify and college tuition. and when i made the first search at the end of January this bill had not been introduced.
and I try to look at all updated lists at least once or twice a week.
every state gets a look through on the weekend also

If you read just the underlined portions of HB 1477, you will see my exact wordins as submitted to Rep. Don Armes for introduction. I worked over 6 months on that project, in order to have it submitted to the Oklahoma House, with the intention of enabling other states to apply it in ther own legislatures! It is currently being shared in 24 states! ) Thanx again for your dilligent work on this issue! )
