CANBY, Ore. -- A second man was arrested Monday in connection with the alleged gang rape of a 42-year-old Gulf War veteran.

Reynaldo Gabino-Martinez, age 22, was arrested Monday evening and charged with Burglary I. According to Canby Police, more charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues.

A 30-year-old Canby man was arraigned earlier Monday for the alleged crime.

Alejandro Ramos-Gonzalez pleaded innocent to rape, kidnapping and burglary charges.

Meanwhile, two days after the woman was allegedly raped by five men, police said they have solid leads on the other suspects.

Ramos-Gonzalez was arrested Sunday and lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on charges of first-degree rape, first-degree kidnapping and first-degree burglary, said officer Chris Mead of Canby Police.

Gonzalez reportedly has gang-related ties, he said.

"It's horrific," Mead said of the rape, "for anyone to go through."

Investigators said they expect more arrests in the case, which involved five men attacking the victim at her apartment in the southeast part of town.

The victim, who was transported to a local hospital, said the men entered her apartment through an open front door around 9 p.m. and held her hostage until 4 a.m., Mead said. Two of them dragged the woman into her bedroom and raped her.

Mead said multiple sexual assaults occurred during those 7 hours.

"They wouldn't let her go," he said.

He said the woman, who did not know the suspects, was afraid to leave her apartment because they told her if she reported the crime she'd be harmed. The victim called police at 10 a.m. from a local grocery store.

"Canby's a safe town," Mead said. "People do feel comfortable leaving their windows and doors open in the heat. Unfortunately this incident occurred."
