    H.S. Soccer Coach Maybe Illegal

I wonder if he overstayed a visa. There is a Canadian woman that teaches at that school as well. I wonder if she is legally here.

Hollywood soccer coach jailed on drug charge faces immigration hearing
    Staff Report
    October 5, 2008
A high school soccer coach is being held without bail at the Broward County jail because authorities raised questions about his immigration status when they arrested him Wednesday evening off campus on a marijuana possession charge.

Delroy Green, 39, of Sunrise, coaches at Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory in Hollywood and was charged with possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana. He must go before an immigration judge because of the questions surrounding his immigration status, but it's unclear what could happen next.

The exact circumstances of Green's arrest were not available Saturday.

Green began coaching at Chaminade-Madonna in 2003. He previously coached at Gulliver Preparatory School in Pinecrest, near Miami.

Here is his booking info. The articles fails to mention the second charge of battery.

It would be nice. I don't know if it shows when a person's visa runs out. If it does they should also inform the employer to make sure they are aware of it. Same with greencards. They also have expirary dates. The State of Florida now prints temporary on driver's licenses of people on visas and they expire the same day as the visa. This makes it easier to catch them if they are driving after their license expires. Highway Patrol does not fool around and calls immigration immediately if they catch any of them. That is why they like to sit in the one area where you have lots of them.

Well geez........if child predators can somehow slip through the cracks and end up working in venues centered around children, it only stands to reason that illegal aliens can probably end up working in schools just as easily as they can anywhere else.

E-Verify needs to be mandatory for each and every employer and it needs to be used on existing as well as new hires.

If an employee is already working - E-Verify doesn't do any good.

Make it mandatory and expand it.

Why are they not allowing them to use it on the employees they already have?
