Ron Paul on CNN
I caught the tail end of Wolf Blitzer's interview with Paul. They discussed Iraq, trade, isolationism etc......Then Wolf asks Ron who else he likes in the presidential primary.....Paul mentioned TOM!!!! I thought GREAT!!!
But Then....
Wolf asks if Ron's views about immigration are the same as Tom's......Paul's response: "Not entirely.....I would deal with the situation a little differently."
Honestly, I don't get it. I don't see a SINGLE flaw with Tom Tancredo's views on immigration. Not one. What do you guys think Ron was refering to? I am thinking more and more that Ron does not exactly want the invaders out, so long as they do not get welfare.Serve Bush with his letter of resignation.
See you at the signing!!

I'm guessing that they both want the illegals out...I think that Ron wants to explore the idea of guest workers a bit more. Tom Tancredo is correct on this issue...we already have guest worker programs, and we don't need any more.
Tom is stronger than Ron on immigration (and Tom was my original favorite candidate) but Ron is so consistently strong on so many issues that most of the Repubs and Dems are not strong on, that that swayed me to go to Ron. I think that Tom and Ron are pretty good friends in "real life".

Im not sure either, but frankly im not 100% aware of Tancredo's plan to stop illegal immigration and remove those here.
I do know Paul would enforce the border, so its just a question of how to remove those here. I believe hes more in favor of an attrition approach. Remove the benefits for them being here, remove the jobs and they go home.
