Some enlightened wisdom for the occasion,

"A Constitution is not a thing in name only, but in fact. It has not an ideal, but a real existence; and wherever it cannot be produced in a visible form, there is none. A constitution is a thing antecedent to a government, and a government is only a creature of a constitution. The constitution of a country is not the act of its government, but of the people constituting a government." Thomas Paine

Thank you, light, for posting this.

The words 'We the People' were put in large print for a reason.

The more I learn about our founding fathers the more I'm in awe of them.

I posted this before to remind everyone and again a few days ago as well..it is interesting to note that yesterday I never saw or heard any mention of it being Constitution Day in the news media...

Only thing I saw was how many people became citizens. Interesting they mentioned many times over about it being Mexican Independence day on the the 16th and they still talked about it yesterday...But NO Constitution Day mentioned...Infact they were trying to ban some of the celebrations of it in certain State's and towns...

DOES THE GOVERNMENT SERVE THE PEOPLE TODAY?

    by Robert Laity

On September 17, 1787, 39 men ratified the new U.S. Constitution. How many people in Congress today observe it?

Today the American citizen is attacked and labeled terrorists, simply because we are taking a stand against a runaway government. Time for these politicians to wake up and remember thet WeTHE PEOPLE are the ones that are the bosses, the CEO's if you like.
