I saw a post where a native American was taking offense at being called an American Indian or native American. Well one or the other.
He said he prefers, "Casino American!".
He was kidding... I think.

They can call me whatever they want. I am an American. I have no other country to return to. Neither does my dad nor my grandparents who gave their oath of alligence to the USA. And I will fight every day of my life to preserve America and Americans.

No eighteenth or nineteenth century American would have confused Indians with "Native Americans." The so-called Native Americans were referred to in the Declaration of Independence as the "merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction, of all Ages, Sexes & Conditions." U.S. citizenship wasn't extended to Indians until acts of Congress in 1887, 1901, and 1924.

I don't have any objection to being called a native.
Regarding the label of "hater," I have been presenting to these open borders demonstrators that generous Americans have been doing the very opposite thing in extending a helping hand; so they call that "hate"!!
Latinos: With all the help we give them (including tens of billion of dollars and at least a million volunteeers) and now that they are all on the web anyway, they should do just fine in their own homeland."Men of low degree are vanity, Men of high degree are a lie. " David

We need to disarm this verbal minefield once and for all. Dancing around it only perpetuates its existence. Whenever someone calls me a "racist, bigot, nativist, xenophobe, hater, extremist, nazi, etc," I simply shrug it off. I'm encouraged to see that the verbal nuclear bomb of the open borders crowd - the accusation of racism - has lost much of its rhetorical efficacy over the past few months. More Americans than ever before are unwilling to be let themselves be intimidated and dehumanized by mere words. The stakes this time around are too high.

THATS THE KIND OF THINKING I LIKE TO HEAR. THE BEST DEFENSE IS A GOOD OFFENSE.
WHEN MEXICO STARTED THE FIRST MEXICAN AMERICAN WAR OVER TERRITORY WHICH IS NOW TEXAS (LAND THAT MEXICAN GOVERNMENT HAD SOLD TO THE WHITE SETTLERS FAIR AND SQUARE) WE ENDED UP TAKING THAT BACK AND THE WEST COAST AND LAND ALL THE WAY TO MEXICO CITY.
GUESS THEY DIDNT LEARN A LESSON FROM THAT. SO "TAKE TWO" WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Bostwitz's
Excuse me, but has anyone else noticed how many Bush cabinet members are of hispanic background? If they were acting like patriotic Americans, this would not raise any red flags with me. However, with all the sinister behavior from this administration toward the "natives", it makes me very suspicious of the motivation for having so many in positions of high office in the govt. Is this part of an effort to make the transition go smoother from an nation ruled by the U.S.constitution to handing off authority of our country to the Mexican govt? Some sinister stuff going on here folks. Case in point: the "Alberto Gonzales Justice" dept. prosecuting and jailing our brave border patrol agents and other law enforcement officers who have done their duty on the illegal invasion issue. But of course, the decision to persecute these men had nothing to do with any input from the Mexican govt. OOooooh NOoooooo. They are nothing less than political prisoners. This did not used to happen in the good ole U.S. of A. However, we have always heard of this kind of corruption in the govt. south of us. It appears that some people in high offices seem to think that these are policies that will have to work for America as well. I expect that we shall see.
This fight ain't over. Attempts to overthrow America from within can be expected to be met with stiff resistence from the natives.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I like to refer to bush and the rest of them as elected officials and remind them of it often. It puts into perspective who's working for who here...to me anyway and thats what counts.<div>GOD - FAMILY - COUNTRY</div>

Frankly, it doesn't matter how American Indians were referred to in the Declaration of Independence.
