Although the Justice Department and several local organizations have stepped up to challenge Alabama’s new immigration law, the fight for its defeat is far from over. It is clear that Alabama’s new immigration bill places the Latino community at risk of racial profiling by allowing law officers to stop individuals based on “reasonable suspicionâ€
