McCain more than once has stated in public that poll after poll shows that the American people want a comphrehensive immigration plan. If he thinks the American people want this:

"Under the bill, illegal aliens get an option to only have to pay three of their last five years in back taxes. Law-abiding American citizens do not have the option to pay some of their taxes. The bill would treat lawbreakers better than the American people."

OK he does think were a sleep at the wheel. but this part of the new laws legallizing the Illegal Aliens on their back taxes may allow the Legal Citizens to sue to the US Supreme court do to many Legal citizens have had trouble with the IRS and have been punished for just one year of unpayed back taxes. It sets aside a new section of our population treating them better then the rest and that is Discrimination in reverse.

Yep, no one group is gonna be the victim all the time anymore. Nobody knows better how to play the discrimination game better than the one's it's been played on. Congress better make plans to double the size of the court system.
