Here’s the video of Trump saying in September Ted Cruz was perfectly ELIGIBLE to run

Trump is flip-flopping on the issue now because he has deemed Cruz a serious threat to his campaign in Iowa.

I'm very disappointed in Trump on this because he has become the primary whiner and agitator pushing this birther movement against Cruz. Things were fine when he didn't feel Cruz was a threat, but now that Cruz is a threat, everything has changed. If Cruz was polling 4th or 5th, we wouldn't be hearing anything from Trump on this. IMO, this doesn't reflect well on Trump's character. I like Trump, but he needs to back off and not be the the aggressor on this. Just my opinion.

Nothing Trump says can make Cruz, or anyone else, a U.S. citizen.

Nothing Trump says can make Cruz, or anyone else, NOT a citizen.

Trump isn't saying he's eligible, he's saying he was told he was eligible, presumably by Ted.

Why do you want people who aren't eligible to be President and Vice President running for the Office?

Rubio isn't a natural born citizen either. He's a citizen but not a natural born citizen.

Yes, Trump did say it appears Cruz was eligible and no he did not say he heard this "presumably by Ted." What he said was he heard it from a bunch of legal experts and such.

Most of the experts we're hearing from are saying Cruz is eligible. Do you really want to believe folks like John McCain over them?

With the Iowa primary just weeks away, Trump is becoming very desperate.

I think the Cruz campaign is desperate now that all those Iowa voters who didn't even know he was born in Canada and had Canadian citizenship know now. They're shocked really that something that important was unknown to them and disturbed that he would call it "settled law" when it certainly isn't.

Those that supported him and didn't know probably shouldn't be voting in the first place. There what some would call uninformed voters. Yep, the same kind of people that voted for Obama the second time around. This is not something that just mysteriously appeared out of nowhere. Cruz's campaign has made no secret of it. Heck, I assume most of us here at ALIPAC have probably known for quite some time.

Well, I don't see the difference between them not knowing Cruz was born in Canada and you not knowing that disqualifies him from running for President or Vice President. Most Americans are not expecting to see a foreign-born with a foreign national father on the ballot for President of the United States. They assume these candidates have been properly vetted by the political parties and state and federal election officials before they show up asking for their money, time and vote.

Clearly, that is not the case and a new level of Voter Vigilance is required.
