Here’s Why Michelle Obama is Worried About “Impeachment” After the Midterms [VIDEOS]

Here’s Why Michelle Obama is Worried About “Impeachment” After the Midterms [VIDEOS]

Michelle Obama says that Republicans may move forward with impeachment of her husband after the November midterm elections if they take control of the Senate.
Obama sent a fundraising email to supporters asking for money to “keep the Senate blue” and avoid all sorts of terrible consequences.
“I’ll put it frankly: If we lose these midterm elections, we’ll just see more obstruction, more lawsuits and talk about impeachment, and more votes to repeal the Affordable Care Act or even shut down the government,” her email stated.
She forgot to mention the collapse of Western Civilization.
Since impeachment by the House is essentially meaningless unless the Senate subsequently votes to convict by a two-thirds super-majority (hello, Bill Clinton), this means one of several possibilities:

She could be ignorant of the actual impeachment process. Given that her husband doesn’t seem to know much about the Constitution — or, at least, doesn’t care what it says — that’s a distinct possibility.
Or, she could believe that Republicans could win 67 seats in the Senate. That’s a mathematical impossibility, but perhaps she’s been studying under the Common Core recently and doesn’t know that.
Here’s the best theory: she assumes the people reading her email are ignorant and susceptible to this sort of fear-mongering.

Which is not to say that after the November elections the House won’t vote to impeach the president, that they shouldn’t, or that he doesn’t deserve impeachment, as many, many pundits and politicians on both sides of the aisle have claimed. WND has compiled quite an impressive sample:

North Carolina Republican Rep. Walter Jones argued the advisability of impeachment over the current House lawsuit against the president, beginning around the 14:00 mark:

Former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin has argued on multiple occasions that the House should impeach Obama, and conservative radio host Mark Levin said he agreed with her:

Pennsylvania Republican Rep. Lou Barletta said that articles of impeachment would probably pass the House, but he’s not sure that impeachment is what the majority of Americans really want:

Conservative commentator Charles Krauthammer reminded viewers that one of the reasons the House was going to impeach Richard Nixon was for an abuse of the IRS similar to the Lois Lerner targeting of conservative groups:

Judge Jeanine Pirro argued for impeachment over the deaths of American veterans due to VA healthcare issues that Obama knew of but did nothing about and for dereliction of duty as commander of chief.

Judge Andrew Napolitano agreed with former Rep. Allen West’s call to impeach Obama over his illegal trade of five Taliban prisoners for accused Army deserter Bowe Bergdahl, as did Retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. William “Jerry” Boykin.

Even celebrities like Ted Nugent have said that the House should impeach Obama.

Texas Republican Rep. Bill Flores also said that he believed the House has enough votes to impeach the president.

Former Ohio Democrat Rep. Dennis Kucinich added his name to the list, saying that Obama should be impeached for involving the United States in Libya without Congressional authorization.

That, obviously, is quite a list … and it’s not even complete.
There are good arguments for holding impeachment hearings for Barack Obama, not the least of which is the fact that the Constitution calls upon the House of Representatives to do so when it believes there is credible evidence that impeachable offenses have been committed.
One of those good reasons, however, is not because Michelle Obama said they would.
Please share this article on Twitter and Facebook if you agree that President Barack Obama must be made to account for his actions as president.
