Thread: Hey UNIONS... you can't have it both ways!

Either you're FOR the illegal invasion of our country (meatpackers, carpenters, etc)... or you're against it (truckers).

Your allegiance should be to America. Get with the program.

I am not sure that the Teamsters are totally against the illegal invasion. They are hollering now that their jobs are on the chopping block---but have been full partners in the "Change to Win" coalition of unions which has heavily endorsed unlimited immigration and the so-called "rights" of illegals.

I think this is all a bunch of nonsense--welsoming illegal aliens as union members--and the union bosses get bigger salaries in the process for their "success." I wonder how long it will be until union members get fed up with this, but they had better be ready to live with higher dues if there are fewer members. A lot of union Presidents are in the $300, 000/yr. range now. Member's dues money at work...undercutting their future economic security.

Oh yeah....My dad was a teamster.....He was one tough American. These illegals are going to see how "soft and weak" we Americans are once they mess with our truckers. Let's get it on....

Here is the official statement of the Teamsters re: immigration reform bill. Seems pretty mealy mouthed to me. I hope the rank and file dumps the leadership and gets out of CTW.

I'm a bit wishy-washy on unions in general. While I approve of the CONCEPT, there is no doubt that many industries are obviously dampened by unions and their policies: our public education system, to name just one.

Hopefully the Teamsters stay on the ball and stick to Americans but in the end if the Teamsters can pick up another bunch of illegal workers so they can collect dues from them may make them dishonest in the end! This whole show is about money and cheap labor! The future is looking bleak I am sad to say....

it would be the first time the Teamsters ever stood up for anything other then a raise. before i support them i want to know, are there any teamster reps in mexico trying to sign them up? as far as the truckers being tough... let's face it our government would have no hesitation in arresting any citizen. mexico is in the drivers seat... literally now. where is the breaking point??????

They shouldn't HAVE to fighting for their own jobs. It's a sad day when a US citizen has to fight foreigners for jobs in his OWN country. Mexico would have no problems preventing American citizens from taking jobs from their people.
It's hypocrisy, corruption and greed that are allowing this to happen at all.
