Alta California: High security for visiting Mexican
    president

Federal, state and city law enforcement agencies are
undertaking extraordinary security measures to protect
President Vicente Fox of Mexico during his visit on Thursday
and Friday. The president's visit comes at a very sensitive
and dangerous time due to the current debate on immigration
from Mexico and the massive pro-immigrant rallies and
marches that took place in the state recently.

As a consequence of the huge pro-immigrant marches
in Los Angeles and other cities in the state, Lieutenant
Governor Cruz Bustamante and Mayor of Los Angeles
Antonio Villagairosa received death threats from
    anti-Mexican vigilantes. Both, Bustamante and
    Villaraigosa are of Mexican descent.

President Vicente Fox is scheduled to speak before a joint
session of the Alta California legislature on Thursday and
will be meeting with Mayor Villagairosa in Los Angeles on
Friday. It is on these days that the safety of the president
    may be most at risk.

There was a serious security incident in a previous visit by
President Fox to the United States. The incident took place
on November 4, 2003 in Phoenix, Arizona during a visit
by President Fox for a meeting with Governor Janet
Napolitano to discuss immigration issues. The details on
this incident are described in our report "ARIZONA
VIGILANTES: Highway shootings staged to embarrass
visiting Mexican President" that is published at
    http://www.aztlan.net/highwaymurder.htm

    I question the above statement.

It's highly likely that this was said in an attempt to discredit those Americans who are firmly against REWARDING ILLEGALS.

    I smell a set-up.

He gets death threats from his own people in Mexico and has more to fear from them than the american citizens of this country. Just a sham to garner sypathy for the illegal aliens in this country.
Freedom isn't free... Don't forget the men who died and gave that right to all of us....
