Hispanic Nonprofit Calls Out Politicians for Supporting Obamacare

Hispanic Nonprofit Calls Out Politicians for Supporting Obamacare

A grassroots Hispanic nonprofit group is launching an ad campaign to hold politicians accountable for supporting the Affordable Care Act.

The LIBRE Initiative, a 501(c)(4) organization, is releasing a series of ads as part its “The Accountability Project” targeting politicians who helped pass Obamacare.

“Obamacare is policy malpractice,” LIBRE’s Executive Director Daniel Garza said in a press release. “While the law was well-intentioned, it was always a bad idea to try to put Washington politics ahead of doctors, patients, and families in making critical health care decisions.”

The negative effects of Obamacare are particularly hurting Hispanic communities in South Florida, according to LIBRE.

“In South Florida, families are struggling,” LIBRE’s newest
    ad says.

“Costs continue to rise, but we’re still earning less […] Joe Garcia supports the new Healthcare law which burdens Americans with higher insurance premiums costing hard-working families thousands.”

LIBRE was founded in 2011 to advance “the principles and values of economic freedom to empower the U.S. Hispanic community so it can thrive and contribute to a more prosperous America.”

Until now, previous investigations into absentee-ballot fraud had centered on Miami’s Hispanic community, leading, in one case, to jail time for Jeffrey Garcia, former chief of staff to U.S. Rep. Joe Garcia.
