Thread: What Do You Think?

If we are all eventually forced to either learn Spanish or be passed up regarding getting a job (and I would say resist until IF there is NO other choice)...we all learn Castillian Spanish instead of Latin American Spanish? Since American businesses don't refuse to hire people from England to speak in their dialect of English on the job, surely we could sue and win if we spoke a dialect of Spanish on the job that was different from the others yet they would be able to understand us enough to do business with us, should we be passed up for a job or fired because of our dialect being different? Plus I'm sure a Spanish immigrant from Spain would not be expected to change his dialect to get a job, and every Latin American nation has its own dialect to boot. There is just a homogenized Latin American version made in this country that most likely is closest to the Mexican dialect. As long as people can understand me they shouldn't get away with descriminating against dialect. I would do it because of PRIDE, to let these people know they will not colonize me into their image,and just like the American blacks who invented "Ebonics" in rebellion against a cruel white society of yesteryear who were disrgarding blacks' human rights, this I call "Eubonics" (using the European dialect of Spanish in rebellion) and a way to get even without breaking the law. What do ya think? LOL

Dont give in this is our land they cant force us to do anything we dont want to do.If they dont hire because we dont speak spanish thats discrimination.file a law suit.We as AMERICANS have to take a stand.News keep repoerting hispanics takeing over AMERICA thats because people arent fighting back in alot of cases.ITS GOT TO STOP!!!!!One way is in the court room against the ones who discriminates

Hey, I said in worst case scenario-if NOTHING ELSE works. Of course I believe in fighting for our rights first...noone should have to learn Spanish of any kind except for a true international job-THAT I wouldn't mind because it has nothing to do with oppressing my nation!!

People have already been trying to go to court about decrimination against those of us who don't speak Spanish and lawyers wouldn't take the case.

I myself refuse to learn any dialect of Spanish unless (God forbid) we reach the bitter end and we are officially conquered.

Yeah, Steve, there's a program called "Help Me Howard" in South FL that deals with injustice in business, and a lady called them who is living in Miami, asking if they can help her get a job because of her not speaking Spanish and facing descrimination in her area-they said that they were sorry but they could not help her, there was nothing they could do. And I've been reading on the web that when some people tried to hire a lawyer they wouldn't take the case. I don't know if this response is universal within the country or not, but it's a real female dog, I'll tell you.

Down here in South FL I've been out of work since Good Friday of last year and it seems a minimum of half the jobs I'm qualified for in my field are demanding bilingual Spanish-English. It's REALLY making my blood boil!!!
