Horde of invaders has sparked the hot immigration topic

Immigration is a hot topic these days. Not legal, orderly movements of people, but, really, invasion, occupation and criminal trespass. A horde of invaders who, regardless of motive, make their very first act in the United States a crime, and each day their stay compounds that crime. Many of these invaders make criminals of their children in the process.

This is not a spur of the moment invasion. These people plan the move, acquire what money they can to pay other criminals to facilitate their crime, or, simply take a chance alone.


Along our southern border, where most of the illegal aliens cross into the U.S., these people are abetted, and even encouraged by the Mexican government, which has published and provided "how to" pamphlets to the miscreants. This is apparently the main solution of the Mexican government to the problem of crushing poverty and oppression suffered by its people.

The government of a country that boasts it has the 12th largest economy on earth, believes it is easier and cheaper to provide pamphlets with instructions on how to avoid our border patrol, and survive our southern desert, than to build a business and manufacturing infrastructure that will provide jobs and sustain their own population.
It has been estimated that one-third of the Mexican economy is provided by money sent back by illegals to support their families there. Not surprising when you consider that, depending on who you believe, there are somewhere between 12 and 20 million illegals in the United States, most of whom are Hispanic. The term, "undocumented worker" by the way, is nothing more than a euphemism for illegal alien/criminal, no matter what anyone says.

Now, before all you "compassionate, politically correct" supporters of these invaders sharpen your pencils to write your letters to the editor condemning me as a heartless, unfeeling, bigoted, racially insensitive jerk, calm yourselves and read on.

Except for Native Americans, bond slaves, and those forced into slavery, every legal resident of this country is either a legal immigrant now, or the descendant of immigrants. Our ancestors, yours and mine, came to America for many of the same reasons as present day illegals. I can't speak for yours, but mine came here to escape brutal English rule and oppression in their own country, which was not England, not to mention starvation.

The difference is they came legally. They weren't hiding their identities, purchasing false documentation, or stealing the identities of legal citizens. They didn't burden what health care there was, accept charity or hide themselves. They worked, learned the language and customs of the country and did everything they could to assimilate themselves into society. They became Americans. They did not organize marches or protest the laws of the U.St. They did not have time for that nonsense.

Another thing they did not do, was pick up the flag of another country and wave it around to show people who they were. They waved the flag of our country; the country they were now a part of and proud of it! These immigrants educated their children and served in our military with distinction and pride. They celebrated the holidays of "their" country - not the one they left to become Americans.
