Thread: Hot Time Saturday Night

I go into the piss pot bar, The Livery in Palisade Colorado. While there 6 latinos enter and the barkeep asks to see their IDs. They produce matricular consul cards and the poor girl has no idea where the DOB is on the cards. I say they are in no way valid and she would be crazy to allow anyone questionable into the bar as they are an unknown liability. She freaks, says they keep the town economy going. I laugh, and say if that is what you are feeding on then America is truly SHOT! She freaks. I am then told by a man at the bar that I have "issues'. I say if there is any question of their legality, I as a naturalized American indeed have an issue, I claim I have sworn the Oath of Citizenship, which is more than I can say about interlopers or some knucklehead that was born here.
The barkeep who I know,says she will call the police, to which I say I would be happy to great them and advise them to call ICE. She freaks. She then says her boss is coming down, I say I would be happy to advise him of his violations against the federal law and his barkeeps (she asked me to leave) discrimination crimes for asking ME to leave the bar.
Meanwhile the latinos, who speak not a word of English, have no idea what is going on.
I am confronted by the idiot man who clams I have "issues" as I leave. With cell phone in hand I say I would be happy to land his ASS in jail for menacing me in such a manner. I can fight, but know better.
It is incidents like these, and standing up that will WAKE UP the moron masses that this baloney will no longer stand. In the end I leave peacefully, with no one standing in my way, really as a favor to the barkeep, someone I know.
I go to report the entire incident to ICE(the Chief here in Grand Junction renewed my green card before I naturalized). It will be a fun Monday morning. cheers glenn

Neat story Glenn. You should check the state laws to see if Matricula cards can be accepted as a form of ID for drinking. If not, you should report that female bartender and take ALE down there personally to grill her about it.

The Rhino wont be drinking or playing there in the future. You know where not to go on your vacation. The colorado mountain businessess love cheap labor. Many americans would like to work and live there but the rich need there slaves. Boycott the Colrado Mountains on your vacation this year. Its a shame cause the mountains are beautiful there local governments arent. When h2b visas dried up this year the mountain business used student visas. No criminal enforcement. The Owens administration is as crooked as a dogs hind leg. Ask him how many schools in Colorado have been reinspected per fedral and state law for asbestos.

Maybe the June boycott could be vacation destinations relying heavily on foeign labor. Visa'd and illegal

Having been a bartender this upsets me. Again the lowly worker has to bear the brunt. I'm sure you've all heard of the "plants" the government puts in to "catch" the convience clerk ,who during a rush, doesn't card someone who looks old enough, and sells them a pack of cigaretts, and they end up being 3 days short of legally being able to buy them. Or the bartender who serves someone underage because they have a fake ID. I am TAM certified and supposidly I have the right to refuse to serve, but like that young lady.....what do you do when your boss says to serve them? And throw the "issues" card your way? In that split second you have to decide between your crappy job you need to survive and the risk of worse. And trust me, if that were a government "plant" to test her.....her boss won't be running to her defense. And now.....she has a record that will follow her forever. Even if she's not convicted, she's charged and now days that's just as damning. And having known people in that position and unable to afford an attorney....and having the DA say to plea no-contest coz it will be cheaper than hiring an attorney and knowing if you went to trial you could never prove what your boss said because everyone that was there was drunk or long gone and it amounts to your word vs the boss........what do you do? And now we have green cards etc. and I wouldn't know a real from a fake. It's a mess.

in KS it must be a state ID or a federal immigration id. they cannot be damaged in any way. I worked a few clubs and saw guys accepting the matricular cards or mexican id. One instance was a 16 yo girl (small town) who was born and raised there. She came in with a Salvadorian national (legally here) and had a matricular card. I saw her and tossed her out.... her bf (btw guy was almost 40) got in my face so he got kicked out too.

I am to leave it as a favor to her(barkeep) poor misguided girl, she would do well to leave the pit anyway, which I went to because a friend wanted to shoot pool. My nickname for it is the "urine bar" cause that is how smells.

I am pretty convincing under fire, and I know that what I did rattled the cages. g
