Thanks; I'll try to tune in to this new time slot for Al.

FYI if needed; employment report data:

The U.S. lost more jobs in 2008 than in any year since 1945 as employers fired another 524,000 people in December, indicating a free-fall in the economy just days before President-elect Barack Obama takes office.

And John Wilhelm, president of the hospitality workers section of UNITE HERE, had the audacity to make the ridiculous claim yesterday: "I don't think it's possible to fix the economy without comprehensive immigration reform."

Email to LA Times reporter from me.

    Ms. Gorman:

I am going on the air live in LA in a few hours to discuss your article titled "Pro- and anti-immigration advocates invoke the economy"

While the title of the article is well balanced, can you please explain to me why you have four sources that favor CIR and only one opposed?

Why are approximately 85% of the words in your article describing the views of the pro amnesty side?

Why are Mr. Roy Beck's comments strategically placed just past the halfway point in the article? I was taught in journalism 101 in college that the location of Mr. Beck's comments are where readers are least likely to remember or even read content.

Considering these three massive imbalances in your article, are we left with any other rational conclusion than to believe that you and the LA Times are expressing political bias?

This is why newspapers across America are being abandoned. The world is full of opinions and we read articles to get information, not your political views.

If you have any other explanation for these questions, I would love to hear it.

    Viva talk radio!
