How many times can they keep trying to pass this bill?

Will this be the last shot? Why can they keep ignoring what they want and try again? Sorry, I just don't understand

Once a bill is introduced unlimited amendments can be offered in that calender year as long as the Senate leader (Harry Reid) allows it.

However since normally they also have other things to do the leader will suspend discussion on the bill until it seems a set of amendments will be introduced which will allow the bill to pass.

Which means we might have to kill it a couple more times!! It's like a zombie that keeps coming back from the dead.

Read this story about pro-amnesty senators possibly using "unprecedented" tactics to try to ram this through:

GoDawgs, IF it passes the Senate, it then goes to the House of Represenatives, and they are not likeing this bill very much, but just so you know IF it does all is not lost yet!!! remember their are 435 members in the house only 100 in the senate so Bush would have alot of arms to twist over there!!!

Don't forget, the Congressional Reps come up for re-election every two years as opposed to the Senators who only have to face re-election every six years. Consequently, the Congressional Reps are much more atune to the wants of the people than are the elitist Senators. I personally don't see how the House could pass the bill if it came over from the Senate/

    Thank You for this thread!!
You all have given me hope!! Yes, the elite in the Senate are ignoring America, but as SOSADFORUS and pjr40 point out, they will surely have a tougher time in the House. BUT, we must not ever forget the traitors to our Nation in the Senate. Ours will have been a waisted effort if we keep sending these lugheads to D.C.

I will never forget this one. Not one person who voted for this bill deserves to be in this nation. I say we ship them to Mexico. They would fit right in with that corupt government. Then they can have all the Mexican votes they want.
