A housing bill on the Hill, HR-1999, proposes $10-Million annually be passed from U.S. Housing and Urban Development funds to La Raza. How sneaky.

But please note: if you write your congressman on this one, as we hope you do, you may wish to make the subject line of your message "Housing" since the bill is being proffered as a HUD project. If instead you make the subject line "Immigration", your letter to your congressman will unfortunately get mixed in with the tens of thousands of other messages being submitted on the current immigration bill.

Dear Congressman Waxman,

Please do not support the Hope Fund Act of 2007 ( HR 1999), which was introduced by Rep. Ruben Hinojosa ( D-TX). H.R.1999 would allot $5 million in Fiscal Year 2008, and $10 million each year thereafter, to the National Council of La Raza. La Raza holds itself out as an Hispanic advocate group that supports amnesty for illegal aliens currently residing within the United States. In fact, La Raza is not so much a rights advocacy group as it is a movement with interests that are in direct conflict to the interests of the United States.

With all due respect, I think that there are other ways to spend millions of dollars than to give the money to clearly un-American interests. This is NOT in the best interest of the American public, and I include legal immigrants in that phrase. The money could be used to help build border security, to fund schools, to provide medication for seniors or other low income families, or even be put into the Social Security Fund.

I respectfully urge you to not support the "Hope Fund Act of 2007" (short title), HR 1999, which is designed "To authorize appropriations for assistance for the National Council of La Raza and the Raza Development Fund."

Is there any reason anyone can think of that the National Council of La Raza STILL HAS a 501 C 3 Tax Exempt Status?

Hey ... demand passage of the Fair Tax ... why?

Because it eliminates totally all corporate income tax and personal income tax. Then .. all a 501 C 3 Tax Exempt Status will get you is a sales tax exemption.

See how many corporations will continue to receive shareholder approval for contributions to organizations like National Council of La Raza when the contribution is no longer tax deductible because there is no income tax to deduct it from!!

There is legislation already introduced in the US House of Representatives and the US Senate. This will remove corporate influence in Washington dramatically and seriously cripple these phony treasonous organizations like National Council of La Raza and other "cultural" advancement entities.

Without the corporate contributions, there would be no grants from the US Government or any other government agency worth spit.

It would in effect shut them down and allow the real charities actually doing charitable work to receive all the true generosity of the American People as it should be.

Can everyone plaster this bill and its repurcussions AND how they had a hand in the immigration bill - and perhaps notables from mexico itself.. WHY IS THIS GROUP EVEN INVOLVED IN THESE SORTS OF POLITICS???

THis is a total conflict of interest and people should be made aware of this..

Please post this with a brief commentary and their affiliations with racist groups "Mecha" AND how they had a hand in that immigration bill which was pretty much PRO -ILLEGALS and CON-AMERICNAS!!!
